Plant Spirit Wisdom: Sin-eaters and Shamans; the Power of Nature in Celtic Healing for the Soul

I was actually looking for another book by this author and came across this..I have yet to go through it in full but as I've bought his work before I'm confident I won't be disappointed...so much so I bought two copies, one as a gift for a friend.

Being very interested in shamanism and the use of plants in nature for healing, journeying etc, this was a great start. I have read other books which have expanded but you have to start somewhere and this is a book I will keep rather than pass on.

A nice smooth read, very engrossing and well-written. Offers information, as the cover states, on shamanism and sin-eating but also has quite a lot of info about plant spirits and Celtic approach to herbalism.

Plant Spirit Wisdom can be seen as a wonderful practical guide and extension to Ross Heaven and Howard Charings' book "Plant Spirit Shamanism". As well as being a delicous book simply to read and discover ancient healing techniques, this is also a deeply practical book, and has many different sections with clear instructions on how to find, prepare and work with various plants and herbs as used by our Celtic ancestors.I recommend this book both to those who are starting out on their shamanic paths and wish to discover the almost lost arts of ancient healing techniques, and also those who wish to work with plants and herbs at their very deepest levels and require practical guidance on how to do so.

Another Tryptaphobe. No mention of Psilocybe semilanceata! I'm with Terence McKenna on this one. The new age movement strives to distract from the psychedelic experience as we instinctively know it's REAL and it can change everything.
