The First and Final Commandment

Excellence
Dr Brown obviously feels strongly about his faith, which comes through in this moderate length book. However, I appreciated that his scientific training is able to tame his emotions with his judicious use of logic and prevents him from being overly infatuated. This book answered some very important questions which I had about Muhammad and the faith he espoused. I recommend this for all individuals who want to learn about Islam or more about Islam

The First and final Commandment
The Author begins by showing how the three religions, Judaism, Muslim and Christianity have similar roots and how they differ today.A refreshing perpective on statements in the Bible that often contradict each other and how the differences came aboutThe author backs up his ideas and assertions with Bible references. However, the book is ver readable without having to look them up.Fascinating and logical explanations and interpretations are given for many issues in the Bible On reading the Bible many people might have to skim over parts that are not easily understood and frankly unbelieveable. These issues are attacked head on and alternative interpretations givenAn interesting read.

Great book, but a little lengthy
This is a great book for sincere seekers of the truth. It truly deserves five stars. Be warned though, that this is a long book. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing, because there is a lot of material that has been covered. Each individual chapter is packed with information and food for thought. The author must be commended for this masterpiece. Still, my guess is that it will be more useful for Muslims than for Christian readers.

Great book
Explain a lot about Christianity and the origin of trinity, and explains a lot about the true tenet of Islam

Misleading
I bought this book with high anticipation. I thought because the author was an academic scholar with a Ph.D., the book would present an unbiased review of christianity, judaism, and islam. This was absolutely not the case with this book. The author is clearly on a mission to show Islam as the superior religion. Unfortunately, he reaches his conclusions by mistranslating words and expressions and making assumption after assumption to support his views. If he wanted to write a book describing the virtues of Muhammed and Islam, he has accomplished that. It's unfortunate the book description doesn't match the contents!
