Bearing True Witness: "Now that I Found Islam, What do I do With it?"

Dr. Brown has delivered another excellent work in the field of contemporary Islamic literature. Books of this nature are relevant, timely and necessary in view of the increasing numbers of people either interested in or reverting to Islam in the western world. 'Bearing True Witness' provides a succinct overview of the faith as well as a road map to new Muslims, as they go about learning the day-to-day practices of the faith. Additionally, there is much in this balanced work that will be of benefit to those born into the faith. All in all, an excellent work, and priced most generously, especially in the digital format.

All reverts are to read this book.It would guide them to know the path they want to take to gain the reward of Allah(swt) and also follow the true saying of our Dear Nabi Prophet Muhammad(sws) as the guidance of mankind.

May Allah (sw) gives the writer the greatest rewards. Amen.I wish him more successful researches. I should say that when one starts reading Dr. Brown's writings, it is hard to stop reading them.

Inept and misleading, this book is intended for converts to the religion of Islam. The author wastes no time in throwing baseless accusations at all groups he regards as "misguided"; through constantly labeling Shi'as as deviant, I believe the author would like to scare the reader from investigating that particular school of thought. Converts to Islam are not stupid people, and one typically does not convert to a religion without thoroughly investigating all the points of view within the religion of interest. For someone sincerely interested in actual scholarship on the Shi'a view I would recommend books by contemporary and well established Shi'a scholars such as Shi'a Islam by Allameh Tabatabai, Discovering Shia islam by Mohammad Ali Shomali, Shi'i Islam: Origins, Faith and Practices also by Mohammad Ali Shomali, or Discovering Islam by Sayed Moustafa Al-Qazwini. For those already well versed in the Sunni tradition I would recommend Inquiries About Shi'a Islam by Sayed Moustafa Al-Qazwini and Then I Was Guided by Dr Muhammad at-Tijani as-Sammawi
