Brass Pocket Lighters

Great zippo. Looks classy and is very good quality. You can tell that it is solid brass as it feels solid and sturdy. As with any zippo, it is pretty easy to maintain and refill. The brushed brass is nice and is definitely quite scratch resistant. I have carried it around for months with minimal visible wear.

This is a Steet Brass finish and a beautiful Zippo and exactly as expected. It has a soft and smooth feel to it, almost like it's coated with something, but looks like it's scratched up, however the scratches are underneath the coating so you can't feel them. The lid opens with a nice sharp and iconic click sound and closing with a satisfying snap. No other thing in the world sounds like it. Naturally the lighter arrives in the beautiful black box with the papers including the lifetime warranty notice. For anyone who never owned a Zippo one thing of note is that, due to safety requirements for shipping, the lighter arrives unfilled, meaning no lighter fluid is added. So keep in mind one needs to have lighter fluid handy and fill up the Zippo before first use. It's an unreasonable desire to want a Zippo lighter, but it's just one of these timeliness and pivotal items that is so recognizable that it will forever hold a special place in people's hearts. Everyone should have one, or six of these. They are not just practical, but also will last a lifetime, or several if they're well cared for an not lost. Of course they are windproof so even on a gusty day, or night, the Zippo will light up without fail.

Best priced no frills classic zippo. Folks that read reviews--the silly ones are amazing--doesn't work when I open it, didn't come with fluid, hard to turn wheel for the flint--it's a zippo , a classic lighter --an animal un to itself. Been using zippos for over 50 years. Opened it up, soaked the wadding and reassembled. flick flick flick--lighter burns as it should. Flick --it lights again. Flints are readily available. I don't chase collectible zippos. I have one that's probably 70+ years and it's identical to this. folks are complaining about some plastic coating on this or whatever--my god it's a ten dollar zippo. The coating like anything else in and out of a pocket with keys and coins and tables will get scuffed--GOOD. All I can say is it's as zippo as any zippo that's been out the past 30 years. I don't want one with some silly tacky slogan. Brass or steel and this was cheaper--what a deal! My gifts to people are usually a zippo, a Victorinox Tinker without scissors and a Leatherman Wave + or an ARC if they're really special! Zippo always--everyone gets. Young ignorant people--don't buy it if you don't know what it is--it takes fluid, you change flints, you tweak a wick. What it does do is burn incredibly for lighting anything!

It’s a Zippo. The company has earned its legendary status and brand loyalty. I’ve been carrying brushed steel ones since before I even smoked cigarettes, kept carrying them when I stopped, and got new inserts once I took up cigars more seriously. I’ve lost count of how many of the brushed steel ones I’ve had, lost, found, and ahem, borrowed long term. So, I saw this one on Amazon for about $11 on sale and decided to grab it. I was so excited! It looks so great! They even added a protective film for shipping… that’s new, and odd since it’s a brushed finish… Oh. Nope. That’s just a clear coat that’ll just age horribly over time, rather than beautifully, were it exposed metal. Oh well, $11, I’ll deal. Maybe I can strip it. I don’t doubt it’ll last as long as I have it, but the finish, eh, not a fan. It really does feel plasticky. Literally tapped it with my ring to check. Oh well, smoke em if ya got em.

Classic Zippo well made to last a lifetime. You don't really own a Zippo you just use it for the next person. Keep it safe for the next person

I’ve had literally hundreds of Zippos over the years, most were given away to make room for more, managed to misplace the last one I’d had left, so I ordered this one to replace it. It performs exactly as expected, the case and spring are solid and well-fitting without making it too challenging to get the insert out for filling/maintenance, took a bit to break in the flint as usual, but it works exactly as a Zippo should. Fantastic value even without the sale price and it looks gorgeous with the street-finish brass and feels great in the hand. I could see myself getting another just like it so I have a backup (nothing against the functionality, there’s just never a situation where someone who uses a wick lighter would be worse off with a spare).
