I did NOT receive ADDI Rockets.
The picture and item description is for Addi Rockets. What I received was Addi Turbos.Any knowledgeable knitter knows the difference and orders the newer (not “standard”) Addi Rockets for a reason.Rockets are the smooth nickel plating of a turbo, with the points of a lace (lace without the funny brass smell).I am giving 1 stars ONLY because it’s the wrong product. Addi circular needles (not interchangeables or wood) are my favorite.

Cheap finish came off
I was really excited to try these highly rated needles. I bought a 2 pair of 2.5mm needles for several pairs of socks. After completing two pair of sports socks, I noticed that the yarn was sticking. When I looked at the needle, I saw that the finish was worn off both needles. My fingers smell like metal when I used them....eeewww!! The tips are fine, but the rest of the needle has lost the finish. Unfortunately, I didn't finish the socks before time ran out to return the faulty needles so I'm stuck with them and really annoyed. So much for the great addi brand....guess I'll go back to my cheaper Knitters Pride needles. The joins aren't as perfect but they don't loose their finish.

addi turbo needles have a rounded tip, addi rocket needles have a slightly pointed tip for lace
The DESCRIPTION of this item does not correlate with the item I have received. I've purchased this item twice, trying to TRUST the description described. Each time the wrong item has been sent! Please CORRECT the description to match the item you sell! The word "rocket" indicates to the knitter or perspective buyer they are knitting needles that will be slightly pointed at the needle tip to do lace knitting. The word "turbo" indicates to the knitter the nickel smooth finish and has a more rounded needle tip.

LOVE these!
I bought these to replace the first pair of size three circulars I originally purchased (different brand) for one of my current projects. They were close in color to the dark yarn I was using which was challenging enough, but the tips also weren’t sharp enough to get in the stitches and on one side, the plastic cord had a small 1mm gap where the cord joined with the metal needle and my yarn kept getting stuck in it. They were impossible to work with and feeling exceedingly frustrated, I took to Amazon to find a better replacement. I’ve heard many wonderful things about Addi needles, so I decided to give these a try. I absolutely LIVE them. The plastic cord doesn’t get twisted up with itself and seamlessly joins with the metal needles, they’re pointy enough to get in the stitches without being so sharp you might accidentally hurt yourself on them, and the yarn glides along the needles so smoothly that I’ve found I’m knitting faster than I ever have in my life! These are a finely crafted and high quality product and absolutely a pleasure to work with, and they feel so nice in my hands I don’t want to put them down. Highly, highly recommend.

GREAT if you Like Magic Loop
ADDI TURBO SOCK ROCKETS are lovely needles IF you like magic loop. I do not, and learned so from these needles. The Sock Rockets knit faster than my hands, which have movement issues. The slippery surface is nice but the annoyance of magic loop overcomes any other positives this needle may provide. The extra pointy tip is also not my preference (much prefer shorter and slightly blunt tips). Again, this is my opinion given physical situation and preference for DPNs.The Addi Turbo Needles are a great product.

Decent needle for price.
I had ordered the size 1, alas when measured it is actually a size 2. Even though it is clearly the wrong size I will keep the needle. Due to the fact the Addi brand are good needles. The tips aren't as sharp as most Addi needles either. Yet again, I will still keep the needle, due to the fact some fingerings yarns don't need a sharp tip.Would I recommend the Addi brand? Yes I would. But, I would not recommend this needle if you are looking for a sharp tip.

Perfect
I really like these needles and so happy that Skacel has finally come up with these needles. I really liked the old addi needles but the points were dull and hard to pick stitches on thinner yarns while knitting socks and such. Then they came with the lace needles that were pointier but then material would get a dark coat on metal part and stitches would not slide as nicely as in original addi. These are perfect as they mix the pointy design of the lace needles with smooth feel of the yarn on the original addi needles.I say it's perfect combination.A trick I learned on lace needles, you can clean the gunk on the metal part by rubbing toothpaste on them and then wipe them clean.

The cords are nice and pliable
I have a susan bates knit check, metal flat that lets you check needles size/ stitching gauge. The size 2 (3mm) Addi needles I got don't fit int the size 2 hole, they fit in the size 3 hole. The package says US 2, and the stamp on the cable says US 2. I've never had this happen before, is it common? All my other needles (Addi and others) fit in the holes with some spare space. The cords are nice and pliable, this is my 4th Addi circular purchase, I'll keep it but I'm surprised. It seems to be the same size as my Karbonz US size 2.5 DP needle.
