Authentic Land Rover Replacement Gas Cap. There is a Warning in the Top Left corner of this item's Amazon Product Listing Screen which warns that this part does not fit on my 2003 Land Rover Discovery ll SE7, which is incorrect, as it most definitely does fit. Genuine Land Rover 99-04 Discovery II and 98-02 Range Rover Petrol Fuel Gas Cap✅ The part number is also correct, and corresponds with the one listed by the manufacturer for my vehicle, WLD500100. It would behoove Amazon to correct this, and remove this warning from their listing.💢TIP:When removing the phillips screw that attaches the leash to the cap, be sure to cup your hand underneath the screw, to prevent it from falling directly into the gas tank.🌐 OVERALL: Positive transaction. Perfect fit
Fits perfect, solved my evap issues. Exorbitant cost but, it's for a Land Rover. What isn't?

Fixed emissions leak code from cheap replacement cap
My gas cap was missing the little tether leash thing, so I originally bought a cheap one off eBay. After about 2 months it started throwing emissions control codes every time I started the car. Replaced it with this genuine cap and no problems since.

Check engine light came on many times due to OEM cap not fitting properly. This cap solved the problem. Be sure to put tape over the fuel opening when swapping as another reviewer mentioned. You don’t want the screw getting in your fuel tank.

Cheap fix for rough running V8
If you're running an older Discovery 2, this might just help it run better. Gas caps deteriorate over time. If your fuel system doesn't have a vacuum (which the gas cap typicallly provides), you're probably running rough. Cheap fix.
