ShoyeidoPeaceful Sky Incense, Set of 10 Coils - Ten-pyo

Only received 9 out of the 10 coils, box wasn't properly sealed and obviously was tampered with, but otherwise Love this incense scent. Very high quality and reminds me of our trip to Takayama Japan.

This smell is rich and spicy and has hints of aged leather, fine cigars and spices like nutmeg and white pepper, but none of these are notes that I can identify as much as the things that come to mind when I'm smelling this. I'm also smelling a deep Asian forest after the monsoons have lifted and everything is alive and growing. This is definitely in the sweet space that kyara can go into and the quality of the wood here is wonderful on the nose. As I let the smell fill the room I realized this aroma reminds me of Doctor Pepper. I haven't had that in over two decades so my memory may be colored with nostalgia, but I wanted to write down this note because it's becoming undeniable the more I experience this stick.

Nice light scent of aloeswood/agarwood, however for $70 it is grossly overpriced. Each coil lasts for about 2.5 hours. Still not worth it though. Will not buy again.

This coil is not for everyone. Tenpyo uses agarwood (aloeswood), which has a very distinctive odor. It is hard to describe but it is resinous and not as sweet as some of the other incense by Shoyeido. If you like agarwood, you should love this coil. Otherwise I would suggest seeing if you can find a couple of sticks.For those who are looking for sweeter smelling incense, there are plenty of other Shoyeido coils, including  Shoyeido's White River Incense, Set of 10 Coils - Shirikawa .

best Agarwood incense coils, last a long time, and the scent remains for quite a while. they contain a unique burner. easy to set up. no strings or having to pinch the incense into a groove, and lose some of it. yes this is expensive but not as expensive as some others which range in the hundreds. for special occasions or meditations. If you got the money, i highly recommend

I love it. Great smell and calming. I will burn one and fall asleep - really relaxing!

This is one of the most decadent amazingly rich wonderful incense ever! If you like Kyara wood you will love this one. It is not a cheap buy but if you have some expendable funds go for it!

My new favorite sitting incense. I usually use Shoyeido Sitting ZEN.
