Perfect for speargun rubbers
I didn't believe this stuff would work, or hold up to the power of the spearguns. But, it worked perfectly, was very easy to use, and held up very well. Highly recommended for speargun rubber fabrication.

Great for constrictor knots. Wish it had some melt for finishing.
Takes a great constrictor for speargun rubbers. Surprised to see no synthetic material in the thread so it burns rather than melts. Even a little would go a long way to making finishing nicer.Used as temporary inserts for a a wishbone while waiting on dynemea and it held fine for a few hunts despite its small diameter.

Fantastic parts for Self Steering
I didn't use the Spear it elastic, kevlar chord, or connectors for their intended purpose. I used them for my self steering gear on my sailboat. This is called sheet-to-tiller self steering. Basically using the pressure on the mainsail to steer the boat. The recommended way to set this up is to use surgical tubing for the elastic. But, I found the boat overwhelmed the surgical tubing and even after putting on additional straps the surgical tubing was at its breaking point. The Spearit elastic is much thicker than surgical tubing but it also has a linear resistance over its range compared to surgical tubing which seems to collapse towards its limit. For you sailors, if you decide to use Spearit's elastic then also buy the connectors and kevlar chord. The Spearit elastic is 16mm thick and impossible to fold over or tie a knot in it. These parts also make a neater job. Finally, the website is fantastic in learning how to tie the kevlar constrictor knots.

No complaints/ it's real kevlar thread.
Excellent bow string thread. (96# draw weight Osage orange longbow made by Red Wolf.) Good draw. No noticeable stretching. Takes rosin well. (I use pine rosin.)

Doesn’t melt
I purchased this product to tie rubbers for spear fishing but the ends do not burn or melt so strands are frayed at the ends…. Not good

Works great as snowboard laces
Had some Burton speed dial boots with broken laces. The kevlar cord is a touch thicker but works nicely as a replacement lace. Likely stronger than the originals but time will tell. This stuff is real Kevlar, and you can tell because of how much more difficult it is to cut.
