Well Built
I have had two Watch Dog battery back-up sump pump within 7years so when it went out recently, I looked for another mfg. I found the Superior pump with battery back-up. The price was cheaper than the Watch Dog and the quality I believe looks and feels a lot better. You may need to adjust the pumps to fit your well but no big deal they move easily. You also need to purchase a check valve if you don't have one. I left longevity blank due to the fact I just put this in. So far so good it's very quiet.

Seems to be a great sump pump
Had the sump pump and battery back up installed about a month ago. Installation was not difficult andsystem seems to be running well

It works!
This pump works well, the issue I have with it, is that when the power comes back on, it keeps running off the battery, until you manually reset it. The backup pump is smaller, and doesn’t pump as hard, so I do still get some moisture in the basement, if I am sleeping, or away, when the power goes out, since it does not automatically switch back to the Main pump. Better than not having a battery back up, as I live in a very wet area, with frequent power outages.

easy set up
This pump works straight out of the box. The set up was easy and took less than 20 mins. I was able to see it in action within 1 day of install due to heavy rains in my area. It is extremely quiet and pumps fast. I have a good sense of security as it relates to my basement staying dry. It is pricey, the battery is pricey, but well worth the peace-of-mind that it provides.

Arrived damaged and needed repair.
Box that contained pump unit was damaged when delivered. Pump assembly was not assembled. PVC sections when found with little to no cement. Needed to install due to failed sump pump so I reassembled the pump unit with PVC cement. Unit was missing a part that I was able to fabricate.

had a unit like this before works well changed because was 5 years old but had no problems replaced for maintenance reasons

superior pump has not returned any communication with me
the alarm keeps going off I have checked the battery it's ok (new) when the alarm goes off the battery pump is on I have checked everything and I have come to the conclusion it's the computer located on the top of the battery box there is a 3 year warranty on this item could you please send me another computer battery box cover.
