Either im retarded or this isn't good for bew engines
Got the timing set for my alh and bew 1.9tdi engines. Already had a toolset I bought but it didnt come with the cam lock tool. Got this set to do my camshaft seal on my bew engine and when it came the cam lock tool was bent (was a returned set) figured hey no big deal I'll just hammer it flat again. Well got everything tore apart on the bew engine I have in my mk1 and when it came to the crank lock tool it wasn't correct and I had to adjust the crank a tooth from tdc to have lock in. Pulled the vacuum pump and went to use the camshaft lock tool and it was incorrect for my bew, now may have been due to the rocker there being still installed but I was not able to lock the camshaft like some other lock tools. Had to grind the outer teeth off the tool in order to lock the cam. The only tool in this set that worked properly was the tensioner tool and the lock pin for the camshaft maybe.
