Eco Defense Biobased Pest Control Spray - Ant, Roach, Spider, Bug Killer and Repellent - Natural Indoor & Outdoor Bug Spray - Child & Pet Friendly

I had a water leak in my home which brought in the large palmetto bugs. I used this product when I would catch the lone ones at night and it's a natural product so it takes about 30 secs to a min for the critters to croak. It did work.It was also safe to use around my pets but keep in mind when you spray that you have to let the area dry for at least 45 min before allowing your pet back in the area.

I just checked through my orders, and I have been using this product consistently since 2019. I hate the smell of Raid and the toxicity of other insecticides so I tried this. I will tell you that it doesn't work that great on cockroaches, at least the ones where I live. A dozen sprays and they just look at me like, "Really?!! That's funny!" So, that being said, small insects like ants and spiders don't stand a chance. We have an ant problem every year - you know those pesky tiny guys. Interestingly, if I spray a strip down the long parade of ants, they just die, and any future ants avoid the line of spray. Of course they end up marching along parallel to the route I sprayed. Eventually, within 48 hours, the ants just disappear.I have pets so I was interested in something that's not so toxic. I have one sprayer downstairs near the kitchen and another upstairs. Depending on the time of year and number of sprays, one bottle lasts about six months. It's a pretty good size bottle (16 oz). The smell is pleasant (lemon-grassy, even though it's not an ingredient) and not overpowering.Yes, it's a little pricey, but worth it. If you have small children and pets, it's a good alternative to stronger insecticide sprays. I would definitely recommend this product.

i think it's the smell that kills them...but we have bought another after using up the first because we feed a lot of birds and we are trying to deter ants from getting into the jam and oranges. we also use it indoors when ants get into the house as this is supposed to be safe for our pets.. spraying Eco directly onto ants does kill them immediately but it doesn't seem to be quite so effective if just sprayed on surfaces, nor does it appear to last very long. For instance we sprayed the post supporting our feeder station but the next day ants were climbing up it as usual. (now we put food bowls in plant bases filled with water). I don't think this would happen if using Raid, but the problem with Raid is when birds get it into their system (as we have witnessed) it is so potent it will result in nerve damage.. so having pets, and an abundance of wild life around this Eco Defense spray is our best, and we hope, if the manufacturers claims are valid, our safest find yet for indoor and outdoor use. (for cockroaches, attracted in their dozens by the bird seed, we use Raid bait stations and they are doing a marvelous job).

The large jug is pictured with an attachable spray nozzle, but didn’t come with it. I attempted to return/replace, but got a notification that it could take a month to ship the replacement despite it showing the product currently being available. 🤷‍♀️

The smell is awesome, but I would say this works in case you have a very mild infestation. Where I used to live there were roaches almost everywhere and this spray couldn’t solve a thing (sometimes I think that they were stronger).

Well, it works! As you can see we had a hundred of these giant ugly spiders on our front & back porch. Not knowing if they were poisonous we wanted to do something about them. I tried to make my own repellant with vinegar & peppermint oil, & took down all their webs... they were back the next day. So I decided to go the natural bug killer route, & found this. I probably now have 20 dead spiders to clean up! (Is this a good thing? *squirms*) But, it works! I did spray the webs earlier in the day hoping they just wouldn’t come back to them, but by night they’d swarmed back & I decided I needed to take a more aggressive stance & danced around my front & back porch spraying spiders a bunch of times & having my boyfriend hold the door open for me to run in when it was time. My neighbors probably made popcorn. This morning I woke up to a bunch of dead spiders, so it’s effective! It’s killed the ants that have been plaguing my kitchen as well, though I learned I need to reapply at least once a day for it to “kill on contact”. I later learned the spiders were harmless, & we feel kind of bad but we were walking into webs constantly & didn’t want to be on our porch at night & I was over it. I hope it is a residual & none come back, we’ll see!

This is an update on this product, June 2016.After the initial spraying, which seemed to work; it does not. A few days after this review, the ants returned with a vengeance. The spray does kill them immediately, but does not prevent them. I am still happy the spray is non-toxic, but can only use it to kill the ants.he only product which both killed and prevented the ants from coming in. What worked last year does not work this year and the ant invasions are many and persistent. I sprayed, It stopped them and then it rained, with more ants. I sprayed the ants, the cabinets, the cracks in between the cabinets and the outside wall and then went outside and sprayed around the outside windowsill where they were coming in. And for good measure, sprayed along the foundation. So far, Eco Defense has stopped them. I love the fact it is non-toxic so i could leave a residue until it dried to make sure it created a barrier. The smell is good, too. Thank you for creating this good product.

Sugar ants love our kitchen sink, counters and garbage can. We keep this spray bottle on the counter within easy reach. It kills ants instantly. I like that it doesn't have that strong chemical smell. It has a light mint smell and only for a short while. Spray directly where there is ant activity. There is a little bit of mist that irritated my eyes, so I made sure I didn't lean in close as I sprayed. This product does not prevent ants from coming back, though, so we also bought something to spray around the outside of the house to block ants from coming in.
