It's all about Thrust Control.
It is a caulk gun. It pushes caulk. The handle is steel, the action is smooth, and the cartridges fit like they should. If you forget to adjust the thrust, you will drip from the tip. Once that starts, it will not stop. You can wipe, you can shake, you can curse. Nothing helps. Just a mess. Set the thrust correctly and it behaves. Clean lines, no surprises, no shame. Ignore it and you will learn why the option is there. certainly the best caulk gun I've owned, and I've seen a lot of caulk in my time...all-powerful deity willing, this is the last.

Solidly made and easy on the hands
I've tried out several types of these, and this is the easiest to use so far. The gears make it easy to push stiffer materials out and the rotating barrel also is nice to keep the tip the direction you want. It took a couple of times to get the knack of releasing the pressure to not get continued dribble, but it wasn't too hard to do once I caught on. I may have to get a spare in case someone "borrows" this and it doesn't make it back to my area.

High quality caulk gun.
You get what you pay for. This is a great caulk gun compared to the other $10 guns you can buy at the big box stores. Highly recommended.

Does the job well
Works great! Easy to use, does the job well, and seems to be a pretty solid tool.

operates like a charm and well made
I would have given this gun a five star rating, for it operates that well, but the puncture tool (nail) is only three and one half inches long, so i have to use another gun's puncture tool (or a piece of wire) to punch through the foil inside a tube of caulk, if need to just cut off the very end of a caulk tube's nozzle, so i get the thin bead I want for interior caulking. All my other caulk guns are made with four inch puncture tools. This gun does not have a cut off hole for tips, but that does not bother me because I prefer to use my utility knife for that job. This gun's ease of use and pressure accuracy make it a joy to use. It is definitely the gun to use for adhesive applications where a broad tip is called for, and you want the dispensing to be easy.

So much easier to squeeze.
EASY OF USE So much easier to squeeze than my other caulk guns. If used with normal to low viscosity (thinner) products it only takes a light touch to use. With high viscosity (thick) products, the effort to use is similar to the effort it would take to use a gun you'd find at a big box store and normal to low viscosity product. FLOW STOP I find a little product comes out after releasing the trigger. So if you want the flow to stop completely you need to trip the release. I think this is actually a plus. If I want it to stop I just press the release with my thumb and it's off, easy to do. What I like is how this little flow of product is beneficial when I need to release the trigger, during application, to get my hand back to the starting (open) position—the slight flow combined with the slight pause it takes to open your hand makes applying product more seamless (even). QUALITY This thing is built tough, should last for a long time (I Hope, you just never known). It's even visually appealing. In conclusion I am very pleased with the SolidWork Professional Hand Caulking Gun with 26:1Caulk Gun.

Happy Caulking
This is what a well made tool feels and performs like. I have owned numerous mid-grade caulking guns and they are ok performers. This my friends is so much better. Really allows you to get those great results through the control the tool offers. Well worth the spend.
