Drive Medical RTL12608 Hinged Toilet Seat Riser, Elongated Seat, White

We bought this toilet seat for my bathroom - the biggest thing we wanted was something that was more permanent and could be lifted for my husband to use the bathroom.I'm a 30 year old who is disabled, and unfortunately my toilet is a bit low - on some days it can be difficult and painful for me to sit down because of issues with my hips/pelvis.This seat has helped a lot! It's easy to clean and feels pretty sturdy even being 230lbs. My husband said it was super easy to install.My only gripe, and I've seen it in another review - somehow, someway urine can collect right under on the brim. So I have to wipe that pretty often or keep a piece of folded paper towel there. Yuck. But I deal with it because the benefits greatly outweigh that flaw.

I put this on a Toto elongated toilet and it fits correctly. I had to drill out the holes in the toilet seat slightly to fit the bolts that come with the riser. Also, The riser and seat will move slightly if pushed to the side. I didn't want to tighten the bolts any more and possibly crack the toilet. I haven't noticed any movement when sitting down though. The riser is nice in that it allows the use of a separate seat and lid, and it lifts up for cleaning.

The riser is made well, but there's a small issue with a recycling symbol being embossed on the underside where it bolts down. This prevents it from lying perfectly flat on the porcelain bowl, and would allow the riser to slide around. I remedied this by applying three pieces of "Alien Tape" to the areas around the bolt holes. Once the seat was bolted down onto the riser, it didn't slide at all. Don't apply tape to the front of the riser, or you won't be able to raise the hinged portion.

I'VE BOUGHT AND RETURNED SEVERAL SO CALLED ELONGATED SEATS. THIS WAS ACTUALLY THE LEAST EXPENSIVE. EASY TO INSTALL,EXTRA LONG HEAVY BOLTS . FITS INSIDE THE TOILET BOWL.IT'S EVERYTHING IT CLAIMS TO BE.

It's off white, not white.

I originally bought a more expensive, but much less sturdy, model that could have been dangerous. I ordered this last minute so my mom was comfortable and safe in our guest bathroom, and it worked so well!

I love that this seat riser bolts to the commode under your toilet seat allowing use of the lid. The hinged design allows for thorough cleaning of all components of the toilet. (The last one I had fastened to the commode with a clamp. Not only was it unstable but water would get up into it from the swirl of flushing and cause rusting of the metal support arms. When it was lifted off for cleaning, a rusty sludge poured out. Gross!!) This unit is soooo not like that!!

I didn't realize from the website pictures just how narrow -- and UNCOMFORTABLE -- this seat is. Despite the extra height, the seat itself would be painful for someone with back or hip issues.

this was perfect for me post surgery. I particularly liked ease of cleaning UNDER raised seat as it is hinged. Significant factor i high rating. Fits well, smooth material, seems well made

El producto cumple. Pero tiene el inconveniente que se desliza aun que lo aprietes con fuerza. Materiales buenos se adapta al wc bien (fijarse en la medida del wc) y la tapa también queda en el toilet. Buena altura

Effective for I tended use. Easier ti clean than other devices.

Buen producto, de buena calidad y funcional. Lo pedí a medida adecuada y aun así está un poco pequeño pero funcional. De necesitar otro lo volvería a elegir.

Works fine. Installation has minor flaw as head of bolts supplied are slightly larger than the hole they are supposed to fit in. The problem can be solved with another washer.
