Great part, meh packaging
Bought as direct replacement for a 2000 Lincoln Continental, part looks great including a rarely seen assembler's paint stripe across the pulley, which the assembler adds when the pulley nut is torqued down before the unit is tested to act as a visual reference that the pulley has not rotated in relation to the nut.So bonus points on the manufacturing process.The part works as expected so far, but only has a few hundred miles on it.The only reason I took away a star is because the part packaging is essentially nonexistent and allowed the hot stud to punch through the part's box. Because Amazon did a better job with packaging there was no damage to the Amazon box, indicating the part box was probably already damaged at the time of shipment from Amazon.

Incredible, saved hundreds of dollars.
Knew the alternator was dead but had never done ANY work on a car, not even an oil change. Even still I could see that the alternator was sitting right there next to the engine on top, watched a video and knew I could do it - took me about 90 minutes start to finish and she's purring like a kitten. Shop quote was about $500, cost me $72 and feeding a friend some porkchops.

It works.
After I put it in I noticed my headed lights flickering I checked the voltage and it fluctuates between 13 and 13.5 it should be 14 volts. It’s has a little whine but for $50.About six months later it works fine no problems and there’s no wine.

Not much to say, I installed it and it works great. Will be updating my review if it fails prematurely.

Perfect replacement, order the right one for your vehicle
Works perfect, and correct charging lug depends on you being able to identify your original part. I did it by comparing photos to my original. Note that unless you actually have the police package vehicle, you should order this one for Mercury Grand Marquis or other panther platform 4.6. year of vehicle matters. Replaced my original alternator perfectly, no more screaming from dying bearing or intermittent charging. Charges properly

Es articulo nuevo y no reconstruido, se ve y siente de muy buena calidad, y al costo de un remanofacturado, se instaló perfectamente sin ningún problema, ajuste perfecto, por ahora funciona muy bien, totalmente recomendable sobre las piezas basura de pésima calidad que se venden en México, la ventaja de USA es que hay regulaciones que hacen que las partes de aya sean de mucho mejor calidad

Failed after 10 months!
Bought it in August 2019 and it failed today (only 10 months)....the original last for 15 years...big difference:-(
