VMP DVR-LB1 DVR Lockbox with Fan (Black)

The thought of this is great, but the quality is not so great. I was able to salvage it. The little knobs that stick out broke off in shipping. I ended up getting some good nuts and bolts and fixed it up so that I could still use it.

Lockbox internal fan grinds like a weed eater, they use a real cheap cooling fan. NOT HAPPY!!!

This is a great solid steel lockbox for any IT equipment or NVR camera recorders. It's made of solid steel, has a good powerful fan and has a lock on it. The box is not fancy by any means, but does do the job very well and look clean and professional. Fan is loud but pushes lots of air - pretty normal for an equipment box - duh. We use it for every single of our smaller installations and are able to cram into it a 24 port patch panel with 1U bracket (which we screw inside the box ourselves), a Minuteman 900VA small power battery (fits very very tightly), a 16CH NVR camera recorder, and a small router. If you've played Lego enough when you were little, you can arrange all of this equipment inside just fine, and at a $100, this box is a steal - covers up all of your cabling, equipment, hides the mess and prevents all the "smart" people from trying to "fix" stuff by having a lock on it. We also like to buy a small key-lockbox on our own and install it under this box - because the key from this NVR lockbox will either get lost or they'll just keep it inside the lock defeating purpose of this lockbox. By the way - the key is pretty low security and of course this lockbox can easily be opened with a crowbar, so don't expect any magic from it. It's not a safe :)
