Changed original rating from three stars to one since I found out the photo their using is also pirated.I am a man who tries to be calm, rational, & fair minded. When someone asks "is the glass half full or half empty?" I respond with "which way is it flowing?". So with that in mind I will list to pros and cons of this product in a clear & non vindictive manner best I can.Cons:*Arc welds are what's holding this together and you will see them sticking out, the upper visor plate is two parts tac welded at 90 degree bend not formed from a single sheet like in their photo.*Liner was glued to bare rusted metal already falling out upon arrival.*Not costume ready unlike what their banner states, unless your costumes involve inhaling iron oxides.*Crude & quick cuts, some parts are jagged and sharp where quick snips were made from sheet metal, I understand a need for quick production but a craftsman honor comes from quality in a product.I leave to photos to show the difference in advertised vs sold.Pros:*It is actual steel plating on the rear of the helmet, it rusted within 2 hours of water contact where oil was removed, so it's at least real proper steel, not the high chromium stainless steel that shatters in cheap swords.*Has a good hefty 8-10 Lbs or around 4 Kgs, it will give your neck a minor workout.*Makes an alright base for personal improvement with no guilt of destroying craftsmanship, it's an assembly line piece.I am kind of reaching for positives here, the other two reviewers had glowing remarks for this so feeling I got an off one or bait & switched. Usually seems my luck, any how I am not gonna return it cause return shipping is a pain, and not gonna ask for a refund. I'll probably use it for sword practice or try to improve it myself with a dremel and some scrap metal. Just gonna take my business else where with the "buy cheap, pay twice" rule, THORINSTRUMENTS will be black marked in my books.

Now this thing is cool. Love it

The contours are a little more simplified than the example in the photo, lending to a slightly clunkier look, but without comparing it to the photo it's really good as it is. Like online dating, I suppose, but the head is covered on the first date. So before I go to hell for my sick humor, I'm really pleased with it. It feels like it could take more impact than 18g typically could because of that sagittal crest on top. I forget the correct nomenclature. I've bought from these folks a few times now, and everything's been prompt, good quality and good look.
