A great mix of monsters,quite a value
Note: I had to return the book as it arrived damaged and requested a new one. I am not including that in this review, unless the book arrives damaged again. For games like Pathfinder (1st edition and 2nd edition) and even D&D, the first monster manual is like the most basic stuff you get, monsters that are archetypical for the game. They are super useful, but very rarely they break the mold and most players usually get the most common and expected monsters. It is with the second and subsequent monster books where things get interestinig and Bestiary 2 actually comes with a few surprises.Production value: This is a book in the same light of Paizo's books. Great paper quality, great cover and sticthing and in general, Paizo keeps up wtih their quality. Great artwork as well.Content: This book has 350 monsters, with great variations in themes and levels. The book has some pretty useful lists at the end to select momsters that fit your session. Each monster includes a picture and a short description and last, the stats block. There are 2 things I prefer from the previous Bestiaries from 1st ediotion. While the vast majority of monsters have pictures, some variations don't. Besides that, a few monsters have their stats blocks cut from one page and continued into the next one. These 2 are minor gripes, but would have loved pictures for all monsters and stat blocks presentes in a single page. Thus, 1 star less. Now, 2 things on the plus side: The book includes some monsters that were introduced in Adventure Paths in the previous edition of PF. For example, the Talzwyrm and the Peluda are 2 examples of monsters that might feel new, unless you have played the Kingmajer Adventure. Also, inclusion of the Hound of Tindalos and other monsters from non-traditional fantasy is a great plus that is a welcome return to something that was great in the previous version of Pathfinder. And second, the book is covered with small sidebars fulled with great insight on the monsters at hand and how they exist in Pathfinder world. These are actually very good.Keep in mind, that this book if for Pathfinder 2nd edition, and it is not compatible with Pathfinder 1st edition. If I am not mistaken pretty all monsters were already present in PF1 books, but having them in the new edition is great. This is a great book and a great addition to the PF2 library. Highly recommend it.

Great content, poor quality of product. Replacement was perfect
I love Pathfinder products and the game system, but the quality of this product was one of the worst I have seen when purchasing through Amazon. Dozens of pages were stuck together, can tell the printing of the pages was misaligned and off center, and small part of the cover was ripped. I’ll be returning this copy hoping for better results next one.EDIT: Fantastic job by Amazon on getting my replacement. It arrived 48 hours after I submitted for a replacement. New copy was pristine condition, and returning original was super easy.

Source of inspiration.
Another great bestiary from Paizo. This is a line of books that Paizo certainly delivers strongly every time. It doesn’t matter if you are preparing a campaign for Pathfinder 2e or any other system, here you’ll find tons of beast/monsters to start a one shot/campaign or simply a quest for your adventurers. Great artwork and cool descriptions, with solid and readable stats blocks.

Beastiery 2
A good sourcebook. Some great reading too as a bonus. The artwork on the cover is very cool. Packed with enough information on encounters to keep your game going a long long time.

Not the so generic Monsters
I am bias as these books are always so well illustrated. This book holds the not so generic type monsters that D7D players will be familier with but offer some interesting ideas that will help fuel any GM's imagination.

Excellent follow-up to Bestiary 1
Bestiary 2 is an excellent follow-up to Bestiary 1. I was surprised by how closely it matches PF1 Bestiary 2 in terms of content – qlippoths, kelpie & korred, aeons … and that’s a Good Thing, because B2 rounds out many critical conceptual, mechanical and lore niches left after Bestiary 1 goes over all the must-haves. There are so many great returning creatures (Chupacabra! Psychopomps! Tendriculous) and some newcomers (Aolaz The Metal Elephant from Jistka!)Monster design continues to shine. Almost every monster, even mundane animals, have some cool abilities that set them up as memorable encounters. PF2 monster design continues to avoid the pitfalls of PF1 monsters (who had frequently fun abilities that weren’t used because a full attack was a better way of making the monster challenging) or D&D 5e beasties (bags of hit points and not much else). The artwork is per the usual high Paizo standard. As always, there’s lots of outstanding art and a few pieces that I don’t really agree with but hey, art is subjective. Two tiny issues I have is: some statblocks break the sacred Paizo rule of 1 page = 1 statblock and spill over to another page. Inconceivable! Revolting! I am aghast, almost fainted here. Paizo, don’t do that! 😉The second quibble is: Archives of Nethys have begun publishing PF2 statblocks that calculate Multiple Attack Penalty for subsequent attacks with the same weapon/claw/tentacle. I would love for that to be included in the “official” book layout.Neither of the above takes away from the final score, which is 5 out of 5. Keep them coming!

If you want more monsters for your Pathfinder game, this can certainly give you more ideas
Even if you don't use the creatures and their stats exactly from this book, the book has enough ideas that you can take some of them and make them into your own monsters. The artwork is also quite nice.

Producto dañado
Uno de los dos que libros que encargué llegó dañado. El paquete en el que vino era demasiado grande y no vinieron asegurados. Es totalmente inaceptable recibir un lobro en estas condiciones.
