Perfect for anything that requires a mixer!
Great mixer that pairs nicely with mackie 18” Thump Speakers for outdoor music. Purchased a 15” Thump to use as a stage monitor as well. FX are easily adjustable for the perfect sound. Highly recommended!

Love this Mixer, good purchase - Don't buy the smaller one.
I really like this Mixer, was easy to setup and sounds a lot better than my last one, which was a Behringer Mixer that died.

Good quality overall
Getting the negatives out of the way first, I had to return the first one I ordered back because the Main Meter L leds were inoperable in all channels. Received a replacement the very next day (thanks to the no hassle Amazon return process.) The replacement is working beautifully. The mixer comes with a Quick Start Guide and has an extensive online pdf manual online to download if you wish. It is solidly built, the knobs are smooth, the 24 effects sound good and are useful for vocals and any instrument. Using a Focusrite interface, it records without issue in both Pro Tools and Ableton. After downloading the proper driver the USB functions as advertised and works well in any DAW I tried. This unit is advertised offering free Pro Tools First with plugin bundle. On the Mackie website this offer has been discontinued since 02/2022. Avid has replaced Pro Tools First with Pro tools Intro. I've been using Pro Tools for years so this was not an issue with me, but the offer should not be part of the product description. I like this mixer very much.

Love this mixer.
Great small mixer. Love that it has Bluetooth built into it. Wish the larger mixers had this option but for my needs this has more than enough channels. Haven’t used it with my computer yet but heard you can control audio within your computer with this mixer. Use to connect my dj controller to my QSC speakers. Highly recommend.

Perfect for my super specific use-case
I bought this because it was the best option I could find for a very specific use-case. I do a lot of VOIP and video calls for work but I'm also a bit of an audiophile. I wanted to keep the zero latency monitoring I had gotten used to from my audio interface. I was upgrading my headphones, DAC, and amp at the same time and knew I was after a balanced system. This was the best budget option that met all that criteria. It has balanced TRS input for my DAC to connect, it has a simple 3.5mm aux for my interface's monitoring output, and a set of balanced XLR outputs to connect my DAC. This worked perfectly, and the individual volume control per channel is definitely welcome. My particular use did not need the microphone pre-amps, but I did test them out and they are outstanding. The effects are also very good. I considered buying a second unit to use as my interface, but it wasn't in my budget. The headphone or monitoring amp isn't great, but I don't need it to be. It gets noticeable hiss, for me, after around 50% gain on the monitoring output. It does everything I need it to, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who just needs to mix a few different sources together.

Not good for dual PC stream setup!
2 Major flaws for the Pro FX 12v3:#1. Compressor is useless. The compressor did nothing to enhance the audio or sound from any output. I couldn't tell a different at all when turned all the way up or all the way down. My my behringer boards the compressor makes a big difference.#2. channel 9/10 stereo inputs ALSO get mixed with the USB blend nob. I plugged in stereo inputs into channel 9/10 thinking I could use this channel to mix one of my UBS sound cards on. But for some reason I could hear the audio on that channel even with the fader all the way down. Turns out the USB 1-2 Blend nob just takes anything you plug into channel 9/10, effectively making this a 2 stereo channel board, forcing you to use the 2 USB return channels. For some reason channel 11/12 have their own controls on the channel. There's NO reason a physical input should be sending sound to the USB Blend nob! This is unacceptable.I was already concerned with the lack of stereo channels on this board. 3 channels with 1 USB dedicated channel would have been cutting it really close for my setup. But losing another stereo inputs controls and overtaking the USB 1-2 nob with a physical input on channel 9/10 was too much for me.LET ALONE the Compressor doing nothing! Maybe I got a defective board... Mackie built like a tank... Well I wouldn't ride in this tank because it wasn't working right!I have used a few different mixers for streaming over the years. My excitement for this product was very high, I was so happy to finally find a soundboard to replace my behringer. My stream setup uses 2 computers which makes this board a little bad for my situation. I need lots of stereo inputs, and forcing my stream PC to the two stereo USB returns was already difficult for me.I would perfer NO USB return channels and just plugging in the proper amount of sound cards to mix in over this mess. Not good for twitch. Hard pass. Got a beheringer x1832USB to replace my X2222 which just needs some light cleaning and repair after 5 years of daily use.Huge disappointment @MACKIE!
