The Little Engine That Could: 90th Anniversary Edition

This book is a beautiful book. I was not expecting what I got. My parents and grandparents read this book to my brother and I, 60 years ago. I think it was a thick cardboard book. I ordered as a baby shower book of what I remembered as a child. The book is beautiful! The illustrations are amazing. Dolly Parton had a page in the beginning of the book about her memory . 10+++

I gave/read this book to my grandchildren (12-15 yrs) on Christmas Eve. They were familiar with the story but had never seen the book. They loved it! This timeless story about the power of positive values and thinking is a great reminder for everyone.

I bought this book for a 3 year old birthday gift. He loves it!

beautiful illustrations, well written

I purchase this book for my high school graduates. Since my students had me as their elementary librarian, I wanted to get them a book that would signify the importance our our relationship but also give something they can keep when they have children. I loved it when I was little and hope my students feel the same.

You got to love it as an inspirational book. I think I can. I think I can. A classic for all generations.

My great great niece loves this as much as I did. Much better having daddy read it to her than some computer program. Better for both of them.

Great book this book was one of the first book my 80 year old family member learned to read with that's amazing it still enjoying.

I think this is one of the best written and illustrated children's classics. The story line is so simple yet very profound. It gives the kids the confidence to do anything. The little train's simple act of "just thinking" made it possible to pull the load is a very strong message to be giving to the little ones. This is one of the must have books in every kid's library

A book from my childhood that I have shared with my own children and now my grandchildren. A special edition too with a truly heartfelt introduction by Dolly Parton. This edition should grace every child’s bookcase.
