You Must Press Power Button for Several Seconds
You must press the power button for several seconds to power on. I thought my light was DOA like a couple 1-star reviews stated. The little blue light came on when I plugged it in, but I could not get the light to go on. I e-mailed customer support, but never heard back - Customer Service would be nice. I tried one more time before returning the item to Amazon. For some reason I held the power button for much longer than normal and it came on. At least note it in the instructions to hold the power button down for several seconds!!Very good light and magnetic capability was great for attaching to duct work while installing a ground wire up in the floor joists.

Must have for emergencies
Gave this as a gift a couple days before the PG&E shutoff here in Sonoma County. The first things flying off the shelves were batteries, flashlights, generators and ice. T This is so rad since it's bright, magnetic, rechargable and also doubles as a power bank to charge phones. Buying one for myself because I liked it so much and now that power shutoffs are a new normal in California you really can't go wrong with this this around for emergencies.

Used 3-4 times, then it quit
The light was fabulous, at first. It was incredibly bright when it came on, and lasted for many hours on the lowest setting. It was enough light to work comfortably, wiring in attic & crawl space. The first time I used it, I used the magnets to hold it on a metal shelf while I replaced the lights in a shed. One of the magnets fell off, and I didn't notice it until the next time I went to use it. Once magnet isn't enough to support the light.I kept it on the dashboard of my pickup, expecting it to be ready any time I needed it. Well, the third or fourth time I went to use it, it wouldn't turn on. I put it on a charger for 24 hours. The light came on in strobe mode, and I couldn't get it to shut off. It flashed for a few minutes, and died. The switch seems to be working, and the light seems to be working, so I'm guessing the batteries or BCM failed, probably from sitting in the sun. You know, where you would typically place a SOLAR charged device.

As Advertised
PROS: The description was pretty accurate. It takes 3+ hours to fully charge, and stays on HIGH for 7+ hours. If you attach a power bank, you can keep this on all night. Very durable. Could likely take a fall, or a beating. I have left it out in the rain, and no water gets inside the unit.CONS: I would not rely on the solar panel. I was hoping I could get a full charge by leaving it out all day; not even close. The magnets are pathetic. I tried sticking it to my fridge, and it slid right to the floor.

Item stops working after 6 weeks
This item seems great. I bought 1 for me and gave one as a gift. The one I bought for me was so versatile, I bought 3 more about a month later. They all stopped working after about 6 weeks, after the second order. I tried charging in direct sunlight and with the USB charger and neither worked. While they say there is a warranty, I have been unable to locate the information to actually get replacements or my money back. Since the return window had closed recently on the second order, Amazon was amazing and let me return those. But I'm still out for the first 2 I ordered.

Barely got to use it
When it worked, it was awesome. I used it to walk the dogs at night for a few months, then I tied it down to my quad runner to keep sunny side up for recharging purposes and to have ready when I needed it. Bought it in 2019. The time came Saturday night 11-6-2021 when I needed it and it was dead. I even charged it for several hours and it still won't come on. (holding the power switch in for several seconds) I was pretty disappointed to say the least.Would have been a nice light if it had lasted longer.

Switch failed making it useless
I bought this to keep in the van for road trips. It was useful to have a light you could grab off the dash and help set up camp, or illuminate the area around the vehicle. The flashing mode would also be useful if we were stalled on the roadside. I was nice that is charges just sitting on the dash and the magnetic base allows it to be mounted where you need it on your vehicle. It was used about two months after purchase, on a camping trip. Worked great. Very bright, and lasted for several hours without getting noticeably dimming. Recharged the next day, never left us without light.Just tried to use it again on the roadside to help light up the roof rack. The switch seems to have failed. When I test the power outlet on it, it is fully charged. It works to charge my phone for instance, but none of the light modes will work. There is a single switch that is used to activate the various light modes, so I suspect that is the problem.Over $25 is a lot for a disposable one time use light. Given that is is marketed as an emergence light, it is useless in that capacity. I have only bought one of these, but this experience will make me look elsewhere for my other vehicles, and to replace this one.

This light is about 400lm brightness
This light puts out a flood beam to light large area.I compared it to Milwaukee 18v 1500lm. Spotlight and this isn't close to its brightness. I also compared to Milwaukee rover personal 550lm light and it was yellow light compared to Milwaukee white light. This light did cover a larger area than the 550lm light.when not comparing to the big boys this looks to be about 400lm. and gives plenty of light for fiber splicing.
