The metal band in the middle gives the pens a bit more heft than they'd have otherwise. They're nice holders for the money. The nibs are cheap and not good quality. If this is the only pen and nib set you buy, please know you'll probably struggle with the nibs. I'd recommend buying a higher quality nib, such as a Speedball or Zebra G.

The set provides functional holders for the large sized nibs at a reasonable price.

I was not sure what to order so I purchased these. My only complaint is that the nib falls out sometimes.

I tried everything I know to get the brand new nibs with oily coating to work. I finally got 4 smaller nibs to work somewhat. However, a fine nib dropped a dollop of ink after a few fine strokes. The broad nibs wasted so much ink and paper. I cannot get the nibs to hold ink properly. So disappointed.

Nibs were missing. After all the nib missing reviews I should have just kept scrolling. I took a chance. The nib holders were all there, quality is questionable as the metal part for the nib holder pieces fell out of two of the nib holders. Going back to speedball for now.

Just from inserting a nib and doing routine writing/sketching the shafts of these dip pens develop deep, unstable, complex cracks. This has happened with 3 of the pens just with a first use.

Je suis en train de rafraîchir mon matériel de dessin/calligraphie, mes vieux portes plumes ont quelques faiblesses, de l'oxydation surtout. Mais leurs divers systèmes étaient particulièrement efficaces et stables comparés aux portes plumes asiatiques en plastique. Les 4 lames de ressort visible sur les photos font partie de ces systèmes ''vintages''et ces portes plumes ont la même efficacité. Par contre, j'ai découvert que la courbure de fixation des plumes est loin d'être standardisée et donc ils ne conviendront pas à toutes les plumes.... Mais à une majorité de celles que je possède. Cerise sur le gâteau les plumes fournies sont très bonnes sans préparation.

Calidad precio aceptable, aunque el acabado no es muy logrado. Con un poco de trabajo se prodria hacer una mejor presentacion del producto.Para principiantes con una plumilla de calidad son aceptables.
