Only issue I've had is battery life
I'm really happy with the computer. Batteries can be fluky and you can get one that is from a bad batch. Having said that my particular battery doesn't last particularly long. I run a music program to stream music though my stereo, and a program to download music and I have to plug it in it seems after 4 hours use, even passive use when I'm not at the computer or streaming music. That's the only concern I would share. Otherwise its great. You have to be sure to activate the version of windows that lets you download anything if you want to use the Chrome browser and all that. But that is easy to look up on the internet how to do it. No issues beside battery life.

Pleased. Exactly what I was looking for.
Bought this because my husband really wanted a laptop. This seemed the best for our basic computer needs. It isn't a touchscreen, so if you're looking for one get something else. Overall happy with it.

Nine days out of warranty, unit is dead. Major disappoinment.
I bought this for my elderly dad so he could Skype with his grandkids, after having good luck with several Asus products in the past.Ordered on November 11th 2020. Delivered Novermber 15th 2020. I don't even know how much he used it. Probably not very much.He called me a week ago and said it wouldn't turn on. With the pandemic happening, and trying to limit exposure to an elderly person, I didn't make it priority to run over and pick it up to try to fix it. I wish I had, because he's right, it won't turn on. But now it's out of warranty.Asus' support website is a nightmare. It keeps telling me (for two days now) that "server maintaining, try again later".The unit seems to turn on, the LEDs on the side light up, but the screen never shows anything. Hooking it up to an external screen doesn't show anything on the external screen. There's no visible sign he dropped it or anything, no scratches or dents. It's just dead. When it powers on the screen shows nothing. Doesn't blink. No splash screen. Doesn't go into a BIOS screen. Asus' website describes ways to try to power it on with the battery disconnected, hold the power button for a minute to clear any static buildup, etc. and failing that, try to boot in BIOS recovery mode with an external USB thumbdrive.None of that works. It's just dead. One week out of warranty.107 days from the day I ordered it.That's like $4.25 per day he had it. Probably $20 per day he used it.Ugh.Posting this rant here since it has been impossible to get through to anybody on Asus' website.

Best Laptop out
I love the Viviobook. I have 3 models and colors. I paid $100 more than normal because I needed it next day. Got it in less than 14 hours!! Thank you!!

very disappointed
I typically strive to write a balanced, "non-emotional", just review. It's hard with this unit.I don't have high expectations for a laptop. I don't do gaming or anything extreme besides average use (surfing, rare streaming, movies, skype, zoom - just basic funtions).Within about a year 3 keys came off, the battery visibly doesn't last long and something revs up in the unit every single day for 30-60 min which slows everything down often to the point of freezing down. When I'm streaming a simple video from youtube while this happens, the video might stop. If I do skype, people cannot hear me.After this experience I would not buy ASUS again.Very annoying.

Freezes after about 10 minutes every time.
Not enough RAM for the operating system functions. It freezes frequently. Junk.

Good Laptop but fragile
I have bought one of these for my son and one for my wife. They both manage to crack the cover with in weeks of getting them. It is light and works great.

Great value for money...
Upgrade the 4GB ram to 8GB (Crucial DDR4 - 2666) running Dual Channel with the onboard 2400MHz - see CPU-Z screen shot. Also changed M.2 SSD (which was slow around 370MB/s) to Samsung NVMe SSD with a significant increase in speed (around 1800 MB/s).Important for Aussie buyers - comes with the US adapter, so you will need an USA-AUS adapter. Otherwise, happy with the purchase.
