For years I've been fascinated by the stories of the lost city of Zinj. In that time, I have collected many objects/artifacts that were purported to be from the lost city. One of these items is a ring featuring an "open eye" design that is said to feature prominently in the city's art and architecture. After attending a local academic conference, I was astounded to find that one of the presenters was a researcher who worked with Gorillas. This specific Gorilla that the researcher presented had a vast vocabulary and communicated using American Sign Language. She was also adept at painting. Amazingly, several of her paintings featured what appeared to be the very same "open eye" that was depicted on my ring. I quickly deduced that she had seen the eye and had been to the lost city. I approached the researcher and convinced his team, as well as the gorilla, to accompany me on an expedition to Africa. Unfortunately, this expedition was met with many obstacles including: plane wrecks, close calls with hippos, and ruthless tech conglomerates exploiting local resources. As we neared our destination, we were also confronted by a hostile group of gorillas. Although I was not the scientific expert, these specific gorilla appeared to be a hybrid species of gorilla that was unknown to me. During this encounter, I located several precious stones and diamonds. However, as in a fit of greed, I attempted to collect them. One of these hybrid gorillas struck me in the head and upper torso. I was rendered unconscious. When I awoke, I was back home and none of the diamonds were returned with me. I was told that in the midst of a geothermal event, the researcher's gorilla was able to use Sign Language to distract the hybrid gorillas allowing all in our party to retreat to safety. It was with that in mind that I purchased this gorilla statue. I will never forget that trip or that most amazing specimen, the heroic gorilla who went by the name of "Amy".

So upsetting, I loved having this in my garden hanging under the shade tree area. Of course it was passed 60 days. Now what!?The left hand cracked away from the rope, see pictures. I used a black plastic wrap to hold it.And I never received a reply regarding replacement or compensation. :\ :(

Beautiful piece of work, but unfortunately mine arrived with a scratch and a few minor defects. I found it necessary to return, but I will be re-ordering.
