Page turner.
This may be a novel, but itβs based on so much verifiable knowledge. But the best part is that the knowledge is endless. This is why I love this book.

Rambling disjointed and aimless
Sorry...a book like this is what happens when a non-fiction research writer dabbles in narrative fiction. It's such a mess. There's no character introduction let alone development. There's no narrative and there's no coherence. There's no life in the writing...no sense of rhythm or flow. It's a lifeless assault of equal length sentences rambling disjointedly from one chapter to the next. There's too much expectation on the reader to do the narrative work the author should be laying out herself. The attempt is way ham fisted...poor descriptive writing with chunks of historical fact kind of forced in from time to time. Ok, I picked up a few bits of information here and there. But that kind of reward, in hindsight, just isn't worth it. The book just rambles nonsensically for way too much of its length. It's a cool idea...and others have tried to get fiction and non fiction together...people like Graham Hancock for example. I haven't read his stories though. I heard they weren't too hot. So while it's a cool idea...seems it's not easy to pull off. I bought book 1 and book 2 so I'll slog onto book 2. Maybe it improves.

A brave venture BUT...
Very disappointing. Nothing but disjointed ramblings sprinkled with boring history lessons. We kinda know what the author is trying to tell us but she tries so hard we feel beaten over the head with every social and environmental issue out there.

It is written as a novel
I was misled I thought it was non-fiction but was written in story form.

Superb Book
I've read Elana Freeland's two books about HAARP and the ionization of our atmosphere. Both book are absolutely mind-boggling. I'm nearly 68 and I've been an avid reader from a very young age and her books are the most horrifying I've ever read, especially Under an Ionized Sky. To read what the U. S. military (and Russian and Chinese militaries to a lesser degree) is doing, daily, to the citizens of the world is frightening beyond words. Sub Rosa America: Book 1 is an excellent fiction that recounts many of her facts from her non-fiction books in a historical fiction. Every citizen in this country should read her books--especially those with young children and grandchildren. Perhaps its not too late to save a portion of the planet for them.

Whether Elana is exercising her imagination or insight into the deeper machinations of the so called deep state this is a powerful story. I doubt that one can make allmof this stuff up. What is the interface between cabala, astrology , and ultra high tech? One can't help but think that Elana is groping towards a successful synthesis of the diverse and arcane phenomena that shape our present incarnation.
I enjoyed this very much. It is not often that one comes across a book that so successfully explores the interface between fact and fiction.
