Works like a charm! (I guess?)
Overall review:Price: It seemed REALLY pricey for something really fragile and somewhat "simple". Either way, it was worth the buy! 4/5Shipping: Shipped right on time, and shipped rather quickly. Would buy from this seller again! 5/5Product: Reading some reviews here, I took EXTRA care for it and packed it back in its original packaging after every use. If you are going to use this, follow instructions on how to install the drivers (http://www.pokedit.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=4308) and make sure you pay extra attention to every little detail, or else you might mess up everything. After inserting the cartridge, carefully insert the USB into the port. After backing up, take it out carefully as well. Aside from the need of crucial handling, the choices it provides make up for it. 5/5Performance: Back up and download; simple as that. Backing up will create a raw .SAV file, where you have endless options on what to do with it. For example, when backing up Pokemon, you can create your own custom Pokemon on a generator and download it back onto the cartridge. You can convert it into many different extensions i.e. uploading it a public cloud service. You may even use the raw save file to play it on your computer from a ROM! This is what makes this thing really fantastic! 5/5 for sure!Other: The installation process is rather tedious, and if you aren't tech savvy, it'll become a hassle in order to use this adapter. 4/5Sometimes, the USB won't be recognized at times, and I had to plug/unplug it several times in order to get it to work. 3/5At times, when trying to open the software, it doesn't while the device is plugged in. When ejected, it opens. Frustrating... It takes a while for it to work, so be patient if this ever happens to you. 3/5When downloading, it says it has successfully transfered the data, yet it doesn't. This can be solved by ejecting and plugging it back in and then doing the whole process again. 4/5Aside from the downsides, I give this product 5 stars.

This thing is evil and will ruin your computer
I normally don't write reviews but i had to after getting this. Not only does this product not work, it destroyed my computer. it might be fine with some computers, but if you have a 64 bit windows 10, stay as far away from this thing as possible. i did what i could to get it to work, and my computer got hit by so many errors. we have the signature error, the blue screens. even when it does finally work the second it does it will not respond and you have to restart your computer. however my computer won't restart and has been stuck on the boot up screen for maybe 7 hours. if i actually do get this to work i will mess with pokemon black 2, then i am getting rid of this cursed monstrosity.

Extremely difficult to get working on Windows 7x64. Does not work with Pokemon X/Y
It took hours of work to get this to work on my Windows 7 Pro x64 machine. Something about using unsigned drivers. I eventually got Windows to accept the driver but I don't expect most people to be able to make that happen. Literally hours and I'm the guy people come to with their computer problems. Besides that I found some games, mainly Pokemon X/Y save their game in an area that is not accessible by this (or any similar) device. So my goal of moving all the games onto the R4DS cart was crushed. I can't blame them for not being compatible with one game but I have never in 20+ years of working with Windows have had so much trouble getting a driver to install.

Works fine BUT not all DS cartridges fit in properly!!
Works fine once you jump through the PC hoops (see other reviews).Caveat: apparently, not all Nintendo DS cartridges fit in properly. Specifically, my Gen IV Pokemon Platinum cartridge does not fit in properly. The software does not recognize the game and freezes up, corrupting save data. Fortunately from Gen IV onwards, a backup save is kept, so no progress is lost.Solution: insert the DS cartridge firmly into the Adapter, then GENTLY press upwards on the cartridge from the bottom of the cartridge. This allows the cartridge to make proper physical contact with the NDS Adapter interface. Carefully insert the NDS Adapter into the computer USB port, and do backups/uploads as usual with one hand, while continually keeping a gentle upwards pressure on the DS cartridge with the other hand. This solution obviously works best on a laptop with USB ports on the side; it would probably be incredibly awkward or a two-person job on a regular desktop computer. Another review suggested layering small bits of tape on top of the DS cartridge so that it makes proper contact; my method is quicker, although more awkward. For desktop PC users, the tape might be the only real option if you run into this problem.Deducted 1 star because of this problem, otherwise works as advertised.

Says DS & 3DS, only works on DS games.
Works fine for saving DS games on a PC and with other software out there you can do cheats using the saved data. Does not work on 3DS games. they won't even fit in the unit. If your getting it for DS stuff your fine, 3DS your out of luck. Of course both play on 3DS so Pokemon Black and White can be saved (DS cartridge), but X & Y (3DS only) your out of luck (can't save games). If you update the firmware from their site you can read some 3DS game saves, but not Pokemon X or Y (can't even 'see' the cartridge).
