Much more versatile and stable than any other "rake" I've previously used. I haven't encountered a shot situation yet where this bridge head wasn't superior to the standard bridge found in every pool hall. It is definitely more stable than other bridges when placed on either narrow end for shooting over other balls.There are reviews with complaints about this head not fitting onto the ends of pool cues. This is true if one just tries to push it onto the end of a cue. However, if you screw it on as if it had threads, it fits on a a fairly wide range of cues (remember to "screw" it off as well to help preserve the rubber bushing). Better yet, I recommend buying a 1-pc (for home) or 2-pc (for travel) bridge cue made specifically for easily slipping a bridge head onto the end. Search the internet; they're cheap! I keep such a jointed cue in my cue bag along with this Moosehead Bridge Head, and everybody I play with wants to use mine instead of whatever else is available.

I lamented the fact that I had no bridge available until I found and ordered this little gem on Amazon's site. Most of my pool playing takes place in my condominium community's clubhouse. The equipment there consists of a set of balls, a triangle rack, and one old cue. I bring my own cue and, now, can slide the bridge head onto the clubhouse cue for a terrific bridge. There are nine grooves across its four sides, so it's easy to find the perfect position for your shot.One potential down side is that unusually thin cues require you to slide the head further down the shaft, which may leave a few inches of the cue sticking out in front of the head. In my experience, this has not been a problem, unless there's a ball in the way. Usually, I can reposition the bridge to avoid the ball but, if not, I'll just move the offending ball and replace it after the shot.All in all, the Moosehead Bridge works exceptionally well and is a terrific bargain.

This bridge head is a huge improvement over the metal bridge head that came with my table. It's got so many adjustments that you can find a way to shoot over another ball easily. The only bad thing about it is that it's got a mold seam/ridge that goes all the way around the perimeter. This means that your cue will be riding on a sharp rough plastic edge instead of a smoothly rounded surface. It took me about 2 minutes with a piece of 400 grit sandpaper to smooth off the edges and smoothly radius the cue contact areas.I took one star off for the rough edge, but with that fixed it's an awesome bridge head. Highly recommended!On second thought, I'm changing to 5 stars. The design is good, and sanding it down should be considered part of installing the head onto the stick. Woohoo! 5 stars!

Simply put, this bridge head offers a huge range of angles for proper delivery of a shot, facilitating easier stroke over other ball(s), at distance, or to more easily impart desired spin.It attaches easily to any cue (though I still always look for a house cue to put it on, as I'm still paranoid that on removal from one of my regular cues it might take the tip off with it -- not that that has ever happened) so you can bring it with you to your favorite billiard spot where they either don't have any bridge at all, or have one of those miserable generic ones that has no flexibility to adapt to your shooting needs.The bridge head itself is a hard plastic material that seems like it will last a lifetime without deforming, and does not abrade the shooting cue, and the rubber grommet used to affix to the bridge cue looks to be durable as well.Great product, and an outstanding value at the low price.

Tight fit. OK for house cues, but I would not routinely use it on my own cues.Price dropped again; it is now under $3, as an add-on, but several other sellers offer it at a reasonable price.Might consider getting more than one; they are easy to leave behind.Multiple slots and asymmetry give the illusion of more height options than are actually available, though it still provides more than a typical house bridge.As oriented, from bottom left of the cue grommet, as pictured, clockwise, approximate distance, in inches, from table to bottom of slot:1.6, 3.6, 2.3, 1.9, 1.4, 1.9, 2.3, 3.1, 2.3.

I play in a pool league and a lot of tournaments. I would never use the house sticks during competitive play, so why should I rely on the house bridge? They are typically poor quality, overly abused and are often hard to find when you really need one. The bridge heads very from location to location and are often wobbly or broken.Using the bridge is often the worst aspect of a player's game, so using the same bridge every time you play or practice will significantly improve your ability to play with the bridge. Consistency is the key to continuous improvement.I bought one of these bridge heads and I attached it to one of the house sticks or my break stick. It attaches snugly, so it won't wobble when you are trying to shoot. It also has several locations for you to shoot from based on your needs.You want the bridge to be an extension to your game, not a handicap.

It works as expected. Only issue I have with it is the hole is too large. Even though there is a rubber grommet to grip the shaft, the shafts I have available, like another cue, protrude through by 50mm or so which prevents some high bridging. It's good but could be better

The simple things are usually the best and this is no exception to that rule. I sometimes go for a game of pool on a Friday after work and the pub we use doesn't have a rest of any kind. If we need a rest we just slip the moose on a pub cue and use one of the many slots available. The only pitfall is that the moose can leave a lot of pool cue showing, so you need to be careful when taking your shot. As this is a minor problem I believe this product fully deserves 5☄

Good design and quality of material. Just I expected it to be larger. Also the orifice is too small for a standard que to fit in it.

This item seems to do the trick but you have to find a thick enough cue to hold it firmly near the tip. If you don't do that then the tip can could foul the cue ball. I used a thick pool cue and that worked OK.

Brilliant the only rest you're need, not as sturdy as the metal ones but it really doesn't affect your game at all I strongly recommend it for any player. Excellent value for money when you consider the prices of the metal rests and you can take the rest head with you to clubs,pubs,ext.
