Runs small
I've tried a few of these on my cat, and this one seems to be the best. Wish the fabric had more give; my cat would tolerate wearing it better.

a much better alternative to the cone of shame!
my kitty needed to have an emergency surgery and the vet gave her back to us with a plastic cone on her so that she wouldnt mess up her stitches. she couldnt eat, drink or walk very well with it on at all, and it broke my heart to see her struggling so much. i immediately started looking for an alternative, and found this product! there was a more expensive one i almost bought that was $28, but it said it would take almost a week to get here so i opted for this cheaper one. i ordered it on thursday and it said it would get here on sunday. it actually ended up coming a day early, which was awesome and greatly appreciated!while i was waiting for this one to get here, i found a really helpful tutorial on how to make a DIY one out of an old t shirt. just search “diy cat onesie” on google and itll be the first result. the one that worked best for my cat was the last design they showed. make sure the shirt is not super thin so it doesnt get stretched out quickly. the DIY ones i made worked, but i had issues with it sliding around or her somehow getting her arms out of the arm holes. i made sure to take it off at least once a day so that she could groom herself, although getting it back on was a bit of a hassle with all of the ties. it was not ideal.i just received this one and put it on her and i can already tell that it feels a lot more stable and secure. she weighs 12 lbs and i ordered her a size Large. it fits great and was much easier to put on. the material is a bit thin which is to be expected for the price. its nice and stretchy and the velcro is strong. i love it so far! i definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for something like this.EDIT- ok the first night i had her wear this, i woke up and she was somehow able to get her arms through the head hole. it was super tight on her upper abdomen and she would yell whenever i tried to take it off. i ended up having to cut the string and i was able to slide it off. to prevent her doing this again, i threaded a collar through the neck hole where the string was. worked great.i changed my review from 5 stars to 3 stars because since the material was so cheap, it quickly started pilling and forming fuzzy bits due to her licking it. her tongue would get caught on it and it made me worried about her ingesting that much lint. i ended up ordering the more expensive one i mentioned earlier, but this one still was able to do its job of keeping her from pulling out her stitches at least.

Would be great, but my cat is too big :(
I ordered the largest size, but my hefty cat was still too big for it (she's 15-ish pounds). Seems like it would work great on smaller cats though so that's why I still have it a good rating.

Be prepared to launder - but does help calm cat.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my female, mixed Siamese cat who overgrooms. I purchased another brand / style at the same time. She is generally a tender, easy going cat so it is easy to put on - just scrunch it up like you would a sock or stocking, and start with the head through the collar, then pull it down along their body. It took a good few days, and lots of love and assurance, for her to not be scared, but in the end it does help her stop overgrooming. I also think it helps her feel safe/ calmer. She will sleep for hours, and come up to me for extra love, seeks me out for that comfort. That said, the opening for the tail is a little tight and not as flexible as it should be. It has been hit & miss with the litter box - if I move it around for her and put her in the box she can go, but if she tries on her own everything goes all over the suit, and it becomes very stressful for her. The best thing, I believe, is to be prepared to take the cat to the bathroom a few times a day if you need, like a child, or just have it on for a little while at a time so that they can go. I put little tears in the collar and tail area to make them less tight.

Just What I Was Looking For!
I bought these for my two 6 month old kittens to wear after they were spayed. I am so glad I found them! Planning ahead, I first ordered a cat collar that is/was supposed to be very tolerable. Um...no. I thought I would try it out for size. Well it fit ok, but literally there was a freak out within seconds. After running around the house like crazy I noticed it was gone. Literally, it took me 3 days to find it because it was tucked in between the wall and a desk. Obviously she was literally bouncing off the walls!. Ok Plan B...a recovery suit. After reviewing tons of them on Amazon and reading reviews I decided on this one. I bought one in pink and one in purple (lavender really). They arrived quickly and I tried it on one of them for size as both kittens are the same size. I was relieved to see there was no fighting it (for the most part) and she tolerated it for about 10 minutes and then I took it off. Long story short they wore them for about 10 days after surgery. The vet's office was kind enough to put it on them after surgery, but unfortunately they put it on backwards (Velcro opening over belly). I had to remove it and put it back on them...luckily they were still a little out of it from the surgery. The Medium suits fit great. I was able to tighten the neck opening as needed. It provided a great covering to reduce contamination of the surgery site and prevented them from licking their sutures or each other's. I was able to check their incisions to make sure it was healing ok and I monitored the suits for any blood. They really came to get used to their "onesies". By the time I removed them they had some small holes from rough housing and the cinch collar on one of them had been chewed (but still functional) but certainly served their purpose. Oh.....and they look adorable in their "onesies".
