Great Embryology Book
This book is well written with lots of pictures demonstrating the key concepts. Human embryology is a very visual science so having a book like this is essential. Embryology is fascinating and a fundamental concept to understand the pathogenesis of many human diseases. I recommend this book.

The Magnum Opus of Embryology
I used this book for embryology class in my Pathologist's Assistant program, and it's excellent. What actually made the book so great was that my professor completely bypassed all the useless junk about molecular regulation in every chapter (which is very useless in pathology....in fact, unless you're going to be working in a children's hospital, embryology is a very useless course as a whole, in my opinion). My professor also took most of his exam questions from BRS Embryology. What an easy A this course was, and I hope it will look good for my prospective applications to medical school down the road. But anyway, I highly recommend this text overall. The pictures are very well done, so if you're a visual learner, they will be of great use to you. For me, I could not look at any of the pictures because they confused me to no end, and they were doing more harm than good. I found that all the different color-coded schemes in each picture to be too convoluted. As long as I memorized the processes word for word, I understood what was going on with ease. My personal favorite part of the book was the clinical correlations in every chapter. If you're into pathological disease processes and viewing twisted pictures of fetuses, you're in for a treat! Thanks for this great textbook, Tommy S.!

Outstanding textbook
Excellent writing and many drawings allow the information to be easily understood. It is fascinating how much more is known since I was an undergrad 40 years ago!

Older, small helpful book
It was a helpful book; there are newer versions . All in all, good little book that’s easy to carry around

Fantastic
This is probably the best book I ever read. The illustrations are excellent and an added bonus and have learned so much about anatomy and I have been retired from the medical field for >30 years. Thank you for such a great book.

The Classic
I used the 2nd edition in med school and liked it then. This new edition continues the theme by giving enough detail without overpowering one with minutiae. The clinical correlations are very useful as well. The drawings are good and have helped me understand what is going on. I love the color in these drawings too, as textbooks in black- and- white now seem drab to me. I have also purchased other Embryology texts- Larsen's and Moore's- but Langman's continues to be the best. Highly recommended.

Best book...but...
This is the best book about Medical Embriology. However it`s amazing that Sadler did not include Langman's prologue to the first edition. He did not create the book...so it is really bad to do something like that.Langman's Medical Embryology

This is definitely the best embryology book I have found
This is definitely the best embryology book I have found, but it still falls short as a solo resource. Embryology is a tough subject conceptually, and Langman does the best job of putting it into words. Definitely supplement any embryology readings with youtube videos or some form of video to help conceptualize.
