I Love This Book!
Anything Patrick Madrid has written should be owned by any searching Christian, but this book is a must. You will want several copies. It is worth owning just for the first chapter where Patrick introduces one six (6) word sentence and shows how, with the emphasis on a different word each time you read that sentence, without knowing the context and history, you cannot truly understand what is being said. WOW! Now that was amazing, Mr. Madrid! Now we know why the 30,000 different denominations in the world cannot get along with others in their own denomination-not to mention cannot even have lunch with some of the other denominations. Then the book is great for any Catholic or any other Christian who truly wants to understand the TRUTH about "where is that in the Bible?" We are new converts and we are amazed (after years in the scripture) at the ignorance we had about the beliefs of the Church until we started studying Church History and books written by Madrid, Hahn, Keating and many more. This book, Where is That in the Bible, is simple and filled with verses. Truth is a wonderful thing. Buy it now. You will love it.

Handy Weapon On The Religious Battlefield
I joined the Catholic Church at Easter in 2000. I used to be a Baptist/Congregational/Bible Church Protestant. With my past and my present, I'm one of those people who's literally been on both sides of the fence in the "who's right, who's wrong" debate. Patrick Madrid, a favorite apologist of mine, compiled this wonderful little "fieldguide" to Catholicism that takes major Catholic beliefs and supplies Biblical evidence for them. He also uses the Bible to debunk a few beliefs of other religions as well. The book is broken down into six distinct areas of study: 1) Authority, 2) Doctrines, 3) The Sacraments, 4) Customs and Practices, 5) Moral Issues, and 6) Non-Catholic Beliefs. What makes this book unique is the fact that Madrid goes out of his way to eliminate Sacred Tradition, the Catechism, and those books of the Bible not accepted by most Protestants in order to defend each issue. He will sometimes hint at these sources, but primarily uses the Bible as accepted by most mainstream Protestant faiths. Much like his book, "Answer Me This!," which takes fifty frequently asked questions by Protestants of Catholicism and answers them, Madrid breaks each section of this book into short, to-the-point explanations. This isn't an exhaustive or thorough resource book, but it is easy enough to carry along with you most of the time. I'd also suggest toting along a Bible with you, as Madrid lists numerous references but does not print each one of them out on the pages of his book.Overall, this book combined with "Answer Me This!" will provide any Catholic with a solid defense of their faith. It's also a wonderful book to use in day-to-day Bible study. It's a wonderful little resource to have around whenever friends or neighbors question your faith.Highly recommended.

It is what it is?
This book is a summary of the most common objections raised by fallen away and non-Catholics. This is what it is designed to do. it does it very well. It is not, as a previous review stated, a detailed treatment of each of the topics. I brought this as a book years ago. I loaded it on my Kindles when the Supreme Court came down on same sex marriage and DOMA on June 26, 2013; as far a I am concerned a date of infamy that parallels the Roe v Wade decision. For it's purpose it is a very good book.

It was interesting to the very end
Easy read, might have to read it twice to be able to get the full value of the information given. Will definitely have a open bile next to me, next go around to match the sited text and compare how many times he reuses the same bile verses.

Excellent apologetics book to have in your library
Patrick Madrid presents another excellent and well written resource for anyone looking to now more about their own Catholic faith as well as anyone looking to be better prepared for answering the questions that our brothers and sisters in Christ who are outside the fullness of the faith that is found within the Catholic Church. Everyone of Patrick's books are informative and interesting while incorporating his sense of humor. I would recommend this highly to everyone who gets questions from non Catholics about our faith as given to us by Jesus Christ through his Holy Spirit.

Well written discussion of Catholic tradition and beliefs
Patrick Madrid provides an excellent presentation of Catholicism and objections to it. He clearly presents claims for and against beliefs, dogmas, tradition and Scripture understanding, using Biblical and historical references to help the reader understand what the issues actually are and how Catholics do and have approached them. His presentations are level-headed and understandable for people of all beliefs.
