This is very good flat iron lotion and a little does go a long way. I have used it twice and my hair has stood the test of time, even in the kitchen area. It should last a long while because not that much is needed, but I do not have that much hair and at 62 yrs young it is not as thick as it once was. If you use it with the stretch creme you will have smooth, soft hair that may stay straight until you wash it again. Yeah, I am natural and I have not had any chemicals in my hair in over 2 yrs and I do not miss them. Try this stuff

Let's just call it a heat protectant, not a "Flat Iron Lotion"...
I previously used the FHI Hot Sauce heat protectant, which I loved and has been discontinued. UGH. I didn't really like the CHI one and I saw a flatiron review on natural hair that used this and decided to try it. Pros: It protects my hair. I didn't have noticeable heat damage after washing. My curls came back and my hair didn't feel fried while straightened. CONS: It's heavy. You don't "NEED" to use a lot, but it's hard not to because it's very, very viscous. It comes out thick and is therefore fairly difficult to distribute evenly through your hair. My hair is 3C/4A curly with a patch of DRY coarse-ish hair right on top in my cowlick area. Even with my hair very wet, I had to apply extra to feel safe with this product.but once the blow dry was completed, my hair felt "coated". Overall, it's better than most sprays I've tried, but my recommendations are to use it on damp, not wet hair. Towel (t-shirt for the naturals) hair to the point where it's barely damp, section into 4-8 sections (depending on tightness of curl), and rub about a dime sized amount through your palms until it's as moist as possible before applying to hair. Apply on middle to ends and come (Denman brush) through prior to blow drying. I'd also try to completely dry your hair before flatironing. I tried using this product only for the flat-iron only once, after allowing my hair to air dry overnight, and it was just NOT a good life plan. I'd use a different cream if you don't blow dry. It made my hair feel kind of like a protein treatment that hasn't been fully rinsed out --crunchy, hard and a little fragile. I just didn't like the texture of my hair using this at the flatiron only stage, even though it's called a flat-iron lotion.Overall, my hair doesn't break off after heat styling so it does it's "job" but it's called a flat-iron lotion and maybe it's just my hair (so I'm not saying don't try it) but I can't just use it for flat-ironing.

like Cosmo Pro
Oh My Goodness . This flat iron lotion is the bomb. I don't why they do not market this in the licensed cosmetologist beauty supply stores , like Cosmo Pro. I am a licensed Cosmetologist with long hair and i have tried every product out there. I have also tried this product on two clients and it is wonderful. I give this product a 10.

One of the Best!
I have ordered in the past and used for years on my daughter's hair. Its great stuff and only takes a small amount. This is one of the best flatw iron lotions around. Its a bit expensive but worth it.

If your hair makes its own oil within 3-4 days this is not for you.If you have hair that is frizzy for a few days before it "acts right", this is for you. Especially if you need for it to act right at that time.
