I love Djape puzzles
I love Djape puzzles. Because I like puzzles that last a couple of days and are more challenging I've been enjoying his Killer Samurai Sudoku. For a change I tried these variants and am enjoying all of them. I wish he would come out with more 16X16 puzzles!

16 square sudoku -- a real challenge
When I received this book, I was sure I wouldn't be able to do any, I'd never done numbers and letters. However with stubborn determination I have done some in all except outside as I don't know what I'm even supposed to do. It's a good book if you enjoy sudoku.

Good but not Great
Personally, I prefer Sudokus that are all numbers. For me, 1-16 is a lot smoother to deal with than having to contend with 0-9, then switching over to A- F. I don'e see where the alphabet adds any positive value to the reasoning process. But I love giant sudokus so I can live with that, at least with the straight forward giant putzzles. The book also offers giant variations. Killer sudokus from 0-16 come up with combined numbers way larger than I care to wrap my mind around. I'm glad to have had the chance of trying my hand at it, but am thankful there was only one of those.Giant Jigsaws were fun but the alphabet made it much less interesting for me. Good jigsaws are already tricky and the alphabets made the patterns a lot more difficult to see.ADDENDUM:I have just finished working the puzzles in this book and realized I have something to add. I still don't like the alphabets, especially since it's difficult to write so that D doesn't look like O, A doesn't look like 4, etc. etc. But as I worked along, I realized that 10, 11, 12, etc. can also lead to mis-reads, and I did eventually got used to the alphabet. For me, though, 0 was more logical as a 10 rather than AS zero itself. That made no practical difference except when it came to the non-consecutive numbers puzzles, where it made a vital difference.I have enjoyed the puzzles. In fact, I've decided to stick with Djape puzzles for now. In my opinion, they're the most interesting.

Challenging but Do-able
Challenging puzzles in a variety of 16 x 16 formats - diagonal, odd/even, jigsaw, regular and more. It takes a fair amount of work to do one, and often helps to put it away and come back with fresh eyes. Good choice for those bored with 9 x 9.
