An excellent mid-price greenhouse
These ShelterLogic greenhouses consistently get top reviews in comparison listings, and I concur. Thus is a very high quality 24 x 12 x 8 greenhouse with a very sturdy frame and a seemingly excellent cover. It took 2 of us 6 or 7 hours to set it up, and I would rate the process as nexium difficulty. The instructions consist of diagrams only (no text), which made it a little tedious at times. But 2 calls to their 24/7/7 800 number were answered oromotky, with helpful info.In all, I would give this greenhouse high praise, aktbough only time will tell how it holds up and how the plants (bobsais) like it.

Needs different cover
The cover on this is too opaque, anything planted inside will stretch for light, fail to bloom. I understand that the shelter adds warmth extends the growing season but you will not get fruiting vegetables to mature in this tent. Leafy greens do ok.

Excellent, high-quality greenhouse.
Ordered this as a replacement for a smaller greenhouse that was destroyed by wind a few weeks ago. This greenhouse is much sturdier with a substantial metal frame, heavyweight cover and serious anchoring system. It withstood a Michigan thunderstorm yesterday with 40+ mph winds and quarter sized hail. Highly recommend!!

12 x 24 x 8 Peak Style - 3rd year review - update 5yr - still going strong
UPDATE - YEAR 5 - STILL STRONG, no rust, no complaints. Our 12 x 24 x 8 ft Peak Style Shelter Logic functions well as a "hoop house" with respect to temperature. After 3 years, the frame is still sturdy - we used wooden boards and the Shelter Logic brand anchors (purchased separately.) I have been very happy with it after 3 years of low level winter and heavy spring summer fall use... zippers held up well. However, there were a couple of small worn areas/holes after 2.5 yrs. Today, after 3 weeks of rain/storms/heavy winds (Missouri), there are large tears at the roof top poles. The replacement covers for this 12 x 24 x 8 size seems to be uncommon (not listed on the Shelter Logic site), and expensive - about half the price of a new greenhouse. I am planning to remove the cover if it becomes necessary, and ponder a low cost or full cost Shelter Logic replacement before winter. I love my 12 x 24 size, but if I were to purchase again, I would buy the more common 10 x 20 size. Significantly less expensive for both the greenhouse and the replacement cover. Photos include fall interior with 3x3 ft compost bin (only elevated a few more degrees - this functions as a hoop house, not a greenhouse). Butterfly closeup shows cover.

Beware . . . be very aware!
First, the negative aspects of this review are directed at ShelterLogic not Northern Tool.Having had previous (and uneventful) experience with a ShelterLogic greenhouse, we made the decision to upgrade to a larger item (12' x 20').Excitement abounded as we awaited delivery of the greenhouse (by tractor trailer) to our farm.Planning ensued during the wait for the delivery and the following weekend in which all hands would be available for assembly. Then the nightmare . . . (nightmare may be an overstatement but hey, emotions are involved here). The assembly instructions provided with the unit are abysmal. There is no other word that more accurately describes the instructions. In fact there are no words in the instructions - just vague drawn illustrations making it impossible to discern up from down, front from back, top from bottom, etc. The instructions are printed in grayscale with some screens of ink so light that they cannot be viewed under most lighting conditions. We have all lamented bad assembly instructions in our travels, especially those seemingly written by someone unfamiliar with the idioms of the American English language - but you persevered, cursed the phrases that made no sense, and ultimately completed the task.I am not positive the same can be accomplished with the instructions provided by ShelterLogic - they are that awful. However in our case, the instructions were not the worst part of this nightmare.ShelterLogic, seemingly a United States company located in Watertown, Connecticut appears to have no understanding of quality control and assurance. The greenhouse was packaged in three boxes, with each box having a separate inventory list contained within. At the outset this was positive as we inventoried the product during our preparations for assembly (knowing as is usually the case, there is some item or items that must be acquired to complete assembly of this type). We were jubilant to find that all parts appeared to be present according to the inventories in both the instructions and boxes.Little did we know that the sealed parts bag (with its own inventory printed on the bag) held a surprise that wouldn't be recognized until assembly had run long into the day. Yep, missing bolts. Not just one or two (causing a search of the garage for one that almost fits) but all of them. Yes, a sealed parts bag with a printed inventory that causes one to assume it was packaged by a machine and not an individual missing all quantity of bolts required to complete step 8 of 11.That's it. Stop assembly. Send everyone home. Curse the lack of customer care and profit oriented employees at ShelterLogic. Wait for Monday to call and complain. However, in our case the missing parts were not the worst of this nightmare.Just try calling ShelterLogic customer support. I dare you, just try. There is the ubiquitous automated attendant maze of a phone system. There is the wait for the 'next available representative' doled out as punishment for having the gall to actually want to speak with a human. Then there is the statement made by the very polite customer support representative "We cannot offer you a credit for the inconvenience (of ShelterLogic having no quality control) because you bought our product from an approved vendor and we don't have your money".OK. ShelterLogic doesn't care what happens during manufacturing, packaging, delivery, and the use of their products. I understand, it is a shame, but I understand. Profits are more important than a single customer. There are many more people out there that will spend several hundreds of dollars on a ShelterLogic greenhouse, invest the time and emotion in the anticipated use of the product, and have to just accept that ShelterLogic won't offer a modest amount of monetary compensation for the ineptitude of their company."A sucker born everyday" is an oft-used axiom that certainly applies in this case. Our only recourse (for our mental health) is to retreat to some form of social media to inform others of the perils of dealing with ShelterLogic. In our humble opinion ... Do not buy a ShelterLogic product.By the way, Northern Tool is working to rectify the missing parts problem (or potential product return and swap - yet to be determined - another potential nightmare). Thank you Northern Tool. We await your reply and update on the status of this problem.

wrong parts....
was not really ecstatic about this purchase. It could have been great, but I think we got the wrong ends that go on it, they were about 18 inches too short with no pipe or anything to keep it from just frapping in the breeze, I mean what kind of green house don't have ends that at least meet the ground. The quality was ok and it was a nice size , and it was not too difficult to put together, but the wrong parts just ruined it...we have had to build plywood ends on it which sort of defeats the purpose of " Portable "
