I wanted an affordable frother that didn't have a non-stick lining. So that's what I thought I was buying. But what I got was a piece of $50.00 junk. The first one that was delivered the handle was broken off. I sent it back and got another one. The second one I got had a broken part so I rigged the second one with the first one's parts just to get it to work. I think I used it a total of 6 times before it didn't work anymore. I am bummed that I spent $50.00 on this. I am bummed to think I have to pay $100.00 for a decent frother. Salton, you have some issues to work out before you sell this product on Amazon again.

I saw mixed reviews when I was shopping for a milk frother at the start of this year but had a friend who loved their Salton Milk Frother. Since I purchased in Feb 2019 the price has dropped from $50 to $30, wow! Came back to write a review since my frother has started to die. I've used it daily, often multiple times (since the capacity for frothed milk is one serving at a time), and it has been great.The froth tends to cling to the inside of the kettle if it's not poured out immediately after heating, but it can easily be scooped out with a spoon. I use plastic vs metal and have not had any issues with the non-stick wearing out. I rinse immediately after using and let water sit in the kettle until I'm ready to wash it.I'm disappointed that this appliance hasn't lasted even a year, but I'm sure my cost per use works out to 10 cents or less (at the higher price) - I'd buy again but recommend the warranty so you don't have to buy a new one every year.

Eh bien c'est le cas pour bien des commentaires sur ce site. Mais pas celui-ci! Parce que j'en ai possédé DEUX! Et les deux ont cessé de fonctionner rapidement!

This little unit does make great foam, to its credit. However, it seems to leak all over the place no matter how much milk you put in it (not overfilling, well below the level markings on the inside). I have resorted to running it twice X half full to avoid a mess, and even then that's not a guarantee that it won't leak. As other people have noted, it's near impossible to clean as there is burned on milk on one side of the frother after the first or second use that just won't go away. I could live with all this were it not for the price tag. I've had way better milk frothers in the past for almost half the price. I'd recommend shopping around and only buying this one as a last resort.

I had to replace immediately after purchasing as it literally just didn't work. Thankfully amazon replaced super easily right away. I do however have two complaints, it does not make much steamed milk, and it is hard to clean. I make lots of matcha lattes and its hard to make enough for a good latte so I often have to use it twice. Then lastly, it is very hard to clean the coil comes out and everything but it is a hard area to scrub especially when you are putting match in there that sticks to the bottom.

I first bought this item about 6 months ago. I used it a couple times a day and it worked really well. Then, all of a sudden it stopped. I contacted amazon and they replaced it. The new one worked great. Until a couple months in, when it just didnt.For the price, you should get WAY more than a couple months out of one of these products.I have now contacted Salton, yet to hear back...
