Great but need modification
I like these a lot. They are comfortable and spread my toes nicely. It has been taking some time to get used to wearing them for hours on end, but I'm getting there. The one thing that is difficult is that they spread my pinky toe a bit too far to fit into a boot (even a wide size). I discovered that you can modify the width of the spacers pretty easily to fix that problem though. See the pictures above, but you just flip the spacers inside out and then use a pair of small sharp pointed scissors to cut the belly of the spacer down. My first few cuts were pretty ragged, but I got better with time. Fortunately these are cheap enough that it's not the end of the world if you mess it up.

Very good product!
It is small, very soft and elastic. It separates the toes very well, it's comfortable but I don't know if my foot is too small because it stretches my little toe out and I feel a bit of tension.I wish they came in two sizes: a standard one and a smaller one.

Say "Hello" to Your Toes
O.K., these were a bit more of a production to put on than I expected, but they ended up being a comfy hoot. For starters, sit on a nice couch, maybe with a beer or a glass of wine, and most definitely next to a table lamp with a high wattage bulb. Now, look at your toes. I have old toes, which are attached to equally old, heavily used, feet. They are gnarly, and overlap, and are misshapened in a way that the perfect, smarmy toes on this product page are not. These things are soft and cushiony and easy to handle. You pull one over your big toe and then have to work each next toe through its hole. It's not like putting on a glove, where each finger just slides right in. It's more like putting old-school braces on around each tooth. It's not hard, but you will find yourself closely examining each one of your toes as you push it and pull it and guide it home. This is both rewarding and unnerving. By the end you will know more about the current state of your toes than you ever imagined possible. Relax. As long as you don't get too excited about it this is a healthy reaction.Anyway, these are comfy. And they do lift, separate, straighten and cuddle each toe. I have toes that overlap each other and squeeze and pinch each other. This offered real relief and comfort. Go figure. Plus, even wearing these my feet fit perfectly well into an old pair of slightly stretched out canvas slipons, so I could walk around, ride my exercise bike, and walk about in public without exciting undue comment. That said, after about three hours they started to feel uncomfortable, which I guess makes sense. The bottom line is that I got these as a bit of a lark, (because "hard" separators I tried were painful and ineffective), and they actually were helpful and comfy. My shoe size is men's 9.5, and they fit fine. I wouldn't wear them overnight, (because that's just a little creepy), but after a couple of hours they didn't seem to harm circulation. My guess is that if you have serious arthritis or bone and joint problems you might not want to just self-medicate with these. But, if you'd just like to put your feet up and relax, they are a complete hoot.

A separator that needs some modification, and may work great for some, not for others
Edit: A very helpful commenter suggested that I cut off the part that goes around the pinky toe, which made a slight improvement. Due to this, and because the seller was very responsive, I have upped the review from 1 star to 3.Cutting off the pinky toe part did help a little with the big toe alignment, but there are 2 reasons why Correct Toes are much better, at least for my feet: Firstly, this spacer is still too small to push my toes far enough apart so that the big toe ends up where it should be. With Correct Toes there is a space where you can insert a shim, so that you have flexibility with respect to the exact amount of spacing. Secondly, this product, unlike Correct Toes, is very squishy, which allows for more compression when in a tight shoe which, for me, pushes my toes out of alignment. The one benefit of this product over Correct Toes is that the softer material is more comfortable to wear for extended periods, so this product may work very well for people with certain foot sizes. My Original Review:For me (and for many others, I suspect) the main reason for using a toe separator is to push the big toe into alignment. While this product certainly does push the 5 toes apart from each other, it nevertheless does not separate them properly. In fact, for me, my big toe was actually pulled further out of alignment, in the absolute wrong direction. This is because this separator is attached by going around the first and 5th toes, which is what keeps it in-place. But this has the effect of elastically pulling the toes together at the same time that it is trying to separate them. Perhaps if the material in-between the toes were much more stiff then it would prevent this misalignment, but the silicone os so squishy that this is impossible, at least for me. This product may work fine for some folks, but in my case it would actually worsen my issue. Thus, it goes back to Amazon, and I am forced to still rely on my much more expensive Correct Toes.
