Great Sounds But not for Everyone
I really love this pedal. It's similar to the Ikon from this company in that it's a really great sounding overdrive that is built like a tank and solid as a rock. The tone is very smooth and almost high def there's not a lot to hide behind. It does have a good amount of gain, but I run it at about noon and it sings and sustains beautifully. It adds a clarity and really brings out your natural tone. That said and while this is a 5 star product for me, I will say that when I having an off day with my playing that it also emphasizes with clarity how off I am! I love it and I love the push it makes me to play and sound my best but if I had to give any knock it would be that you cannot hide behind the pedal and it's very expressive and pushes your "touch" through.

More versatile than you think
So after having tried several Klon clone variations (Wampler Tumnus, MXR Sugar Drive, JRockett Archer) I came to the conclusion that that style of boost/drive was not for me. I don't really play blues, but I was intrigued by the Dude drive after some demos on YouTube. This thing has a lot of versatility. I can dial it in to suit My Gretsch G5410 hollow body, my J Mascis Squier Jazzmaster, and my Squier Affinity Tele all with relative ease. The magic is in the ratio knob, you can pretty much dial in the precise amount of breakup you want and it is very dynamic. It has a nice full rich tone when pushed a little over 50%, I typically dial it in about 10 o'clock and use my guitar volume to determine the grit. One caveat - this pedal has a TON of volume in it. Be careful if you are one of those who likes to dime everything as soon as you get it. If you are having a hard time finding a drive, or really don't quite know what you are looking for, this drive may be your answer. It was for me.

Good color pedal
This works very well with a strat in the bridge pickup. It gives a much thicker sound in some style guitars, less effective in guitars that already have a fat sound. Build is excellent. With so many variables I can’t say how it can or will work for you. It isn’t transparent, more mids than a Klon or a Dirty Shirley. I like it.

Sweet tones
Produces a full mid-range overdrive tone. Fuller than a Tube Screamer yet sharper than a Blues Driver. It can also produce pretty high gain if you crank it. Supposed to be a "Dumble" sound but I've never played one - maybe some day!

So this emulates a Dumble Amp. Get this Killer sound but a lot less money!
I've been experimenting with pedal combinations. I stumbled across it and it said they made it to emulate a dumble amp. I don't know if its boost, OD, distortion all of the above. I think it just sounds kick ass, and I own several of each. I ran it into a JHS Pulp n Peel then apollo x6 into my Mac into Studio One Pro 5.1. I had the UAD console already routed through Unison and was running Savage 120 Engl kinda by accident WHOASounded so good I left the settings all 12 o'clock the way it was set out the box.

Best pedal I own.
Best of it's kind on the market. From SRV to Death Metal to blues crunch, it does everything from overdrive to boost.

Fun pedal with entertaining sustain
Purchased before Christmas on a black Friday type deal and it is fantastic. It produces smooth gain with sustain so you can play the Pink Floyd "Time" properly.Worth it!
