Love this booklet.
Some of the directions are iffy, but if you crochet much, you will figure it out. I also recommend her other booklet

Nice patterns!....BUT
Great book of patterns...except for the first 15 pages were for a prison workout from San Quentin?????? Mis-print I think! The actual book was great.

Pretty design
Very easy to follow, the author crochetes a little differently than I was taught. I did a little tweaking and they turned out beautiful. My sisters are thrilled with the early gift.

Great holiday crafting!
Crafty? Me? Not-so-much. However, bought this for a friend who is an avid crocheter and it's right up her alley. Beautiful designs and easy to understand instructions. It's always nice to add a touch of personalization to the holidays. I added a pic of my friend's result of pattern #1. She loves the book!

Quick, but they're trickier than they look -- here's a tip
These are fun and make lovely presents. They take me about half an hour to make one and for the last five years I made 25+ for my family.Super important: have lots of stitch markers! It is very easy to get confused. I use metal pear-shaped safety pins.I have yet to find an actual mistake in the directions, but they can be tricky. Every year I have to remember how to move from one round to the next. It's actually quite clever what the author does. For example, assume that the prior round is all dc (double crochet) and you have these instructions: sc (single crochet) in starting dc (double crochet from prior round), *[ch5, skip 2dc, sc in next dc] repeat from * around. On last repeat omit the ch5 and do a ch3, and dc into opening sc to start the next round in the center of the last ch5 loop. You should have 12 ch5 spaces. What she's doing at the end is she's making a "ch5 space" from the combination of 3ch + 1 dc. That double crochet is approximately the length of two chain stitches. Why she does this is so you're in the center of the "faux" ch5 space, ready to start the next round. It's pretty brilliant. But every year I have to sort out the directions slowly, undo my mistakes, and be very generous with my markers. And they come out *lovely.*
