I didn't expect such a great product for only £9.99.It has its own battery and paired very easily with my phone. I was concerned that it not securely hold my Huawei P20 Pro as it is a large phone but it held it securely.The button on the handle releases the shutter on the camera when pressed or starts video recording if in video mode.It also folds out and makes a free standing tripod which I have used to record videos of my seascape paintings.It really is an extremely good selfie stick/tripod for a very reasonable price. I haven't found any downsides yet!

*UPDATE* The Bluetooth remote has stopped working and one of the tripod legs split when closing the unit. My, initial, positive reaction (below) has now changed... :-(I have always disliked selfie-sticks, but on a recent holiday it became clear that it was becoming impossible to get a good self-taken family photo as the kids are now much bigger and we all tower over my wife! So, I reluctantly looked for a selfie stick that was (a) small and (b) fairly cheap, so that I could keep it in my pocket and use as / when needed on family trips and holidays. I picked this one, as it looked solid and I also liked that it could also be used as a tripod. When it arrived, I was impressed with the quality of the materials - solid plastic for the legs and housing, and a metal central (extendable) pole. It feels very solid and the tripod balances well. The stick itself is easy to use and I love the little Bluetooth remote. I didn’t think it would work that well, but it pairs up quickly every time you turn it on and turns itself off after a few minutes of non-use to save the battery. The reaction / response time, from pressing the remote to taking the picture, is pretty much instant - but I also use the remote for timer shots (3-5 second delays) when doing a bigger group picture using the tripod.

For the price this is one of the best selfie sticks I’ve ever used, it’s really strong and quite chunky so it’s not going to break easily and folds up nice and compact.It even doubles up as a tripod with 3 fold out legs at the base which is perfect for taking self portraits so it even doubles up as a portable tripod which I found amazing :)It has a shutter button which can be detached from the selfie stick just by sliding it up and using Bluetooth you can take photos easily from a distance.For all the features you get from this is amazing since it costs less that £10 my only niggle is that my phone isn’t wide enough to fit in the holder and slides out (iPhone SE/5) but I fixed this my using it whilst in its case. Most new smartphones are wider than this any and you shouldn’t have an issue.I fully recommend this **** (5 stars!)

Absolutely awful quality selfie stick!After just two light uses the tripod legs won't clip back into place properly and the remote button cover keeps popping off which has happened from the moment I took it out of the box...I don't think it'll take much usage before it falls apart completely!I know its quite cheap but it doesn't really meet the fit for purpose category.

I bought this selfie stick for my holiday and it worked pretty well! You have to hold the remote control click for a few seconds to turn it on and it works as expected. The only problem I have is that the battery didn’t hold up for long and was not able to use the remote for the duration of my holiday. On another hand, the stand is stable enough on a flat surface but when it’s windy, it does not hold up as well. However none of this really had much of an affect to my usage therefore I’d say it’s still worth buying. It’s useful when there is no one to take your photo as a couple in a foreign country, and to ensure that you can see the background as well as yourself when taking the photo.

I've never used a selfie stick before and I really wanted this to be able to hold the phone high to get some specific photos I couldn't otherwise reach. It's proved very useful. It's robust and I'm very pleased. Now that I've got it I find all sorts of uses for it including plants and insects at ground level or on distant plants I otherwise have difficulty reaching.

This tripod is simple in its built but it has some good points. The holder for example can be moved vertically or horizontally to take pictures one or other way (this feature didn't find in other similar tripods). It's quite stable when extended and opened. Whit the remote control you have to be careful not to loose it as it's quite small and fits in too smoothly, but it works so well (fast interaction and fast bluetooth linking to the phone) that is worth it. For the price this is a really good tripod phone holder.

I used this product for self-produced videos using my smartphone. Easy to set up and use straight out of the box. Build quality seemed reasonably robust. The tripod feature felt stable and sturdy in use also. The range of different angles provided by the camera attachment bracket proved the versatility of the product in use too. The Bluetooth remote control unit didn't pair automatically to the phone as the instructions suggested it would, but after connecting manually, it was stable in use. Overall a very good product and seemed great value for the money.
