3 inches means 3 inches
make sure you have only 3 inches or less to clamp--there is not a lot of forgiveness with these hose clamps. I used them to repair a 3 in blue plastic (chinese made) discharge hose that had split where the material met the fitting. The trimmed hose end did not fit snug on the new fitting so I wrapped gorilla tape 2X around the fitting to snug up the hose contact with the fitting. These fittings would not reach with the gorilla tape added, so I had to remove the tape, leaving a lot of gap between the hose and the fitting. Because I expected the metal bands of the clamp to eat thru the discharge hose material, I took bicycle tube rubber and used it underneath each of the metal bands. Bottom line, if you are clamping larger than 3 inches, you might want to use the next largest size or another clamp. After a month, no leaks with about 8 hours of use and hoses exposed to the sun.

Very sturdy, solid clamps
Used for joining sections of PVC pipe together with rubber sleeves in a hard-to access area, I wanted clamps that would stay rigid once tightened and not shift. These have done just that with no sign of loosening. They are size specific and don't close up beyond tightening down to create a no-leak joint. Good quality all around.

Strong Clamps
Bought these clamps to clamp down my intake and intercooler piping on my Skyline R33. The clamps were a perfect fit and super strong making a super tight fit with no boost leaks. Very nice clamps definitely recommend them.

Best hose clamps for the money.
These are the way to go for intercooler clamps. I have been using these for over a decade now and never had a problem. These are 100% better then a worm/screw type hose clamps.

3" Outside diameter
These were 2.75 inch OD clamps. Not 3" diameter. Had to reorder the correct ones. They only Open to 2.75". They sent the wrong size.

I really like these clamps. They do just what you would expect. Not sure if the rust but they are now on every car I own. Would absolutely buy again.
