Surprisingly Good
I wasn't sure what to expect with these, and thought that maybe I'd try one or two and then discard the rest after I found out that they were not to my liking. But these are very good! I ate the whole can myself -- this northerner approves. The quality of the peanuts could have been a little better, which is why I am deducting one star. Someone needs to sort through these first before they get canned and remove open shells with no nuts in them and nuts with moldy spots on them. But the recipe itself is sound. The peanuts practically melt in your mouth, if a peanut could do such a thing, because they are so tender. After trying them, I can see why people down south get excited over these. The ingredients are: Green boiled peanuts, water, salt, and erythorbic acid (to promote color retention). There was a weird faint taste, way in the background, that I was tasting and it could possibly have been from the preservative. So I'm inspired now to make a big pot of these myself, and of course, I will put no preservative in it. I've found some good recipes on the internet and will try making these very soon.

Best you can get...in a can!
These boiled peanuts are the best you can get without stopping at a farmstand in SC. I bought these as a way to introduce boiled peanuts to my children. We live in the NE and there's no chance of getting fresh ones. This was a big hit. If you like spicy, try the Cajun version. They're delicious!

Cost of cans of peanuts were way out of line. I have bought them in the store for $2.49 ea.
The peanuts were good but way too expensive. I find it hard to believe that I paid $7.50 for each can. Won't do it again.

Okay very salty
When I travel to Florida I love to buy the just made boiled peanuts at the stands and in supermarkets, but since I live in NY they do not have these anywhere, so I tried the canned version.. if you like really very salty peanuts you will enjoy these. My opinion is nothing is good as the real thing.

Way to expensive
The peanuts are okay, maybe a 10th of them have no peanut in the shell or way to young, but I'm paying $.90 a can on sale and $1.00 regular price. OMG, keep you money or look elsewhere. THIS IS A RIP OFF and they can keep their gold
