BernatBaby Velvet Yarn, Lilac Blooms

I bought this for a project for a nephew that will be coming soon. The color was a little off but that could just be my visual perception or my monitor color quality. I expected it to be more of a blue but it was more purpleish. I didn't mind that too much.'It was delightfully soft, more than I expected I loved that. The thickness was good, about what I expected.The problem is that I never got to use it. I tried working with it for two weeks and I never got more than two rows done. I spend almost the entire time trying to untangle it. Tangled yarn is not a n ew problem for crocheters but this was the most tangled yard I'd ever tried working with and the ONLY tangled yard I'd ever been unable to untangle. It was very clearly factory-spun like that. Every single pull from the skein came out a tangled mess that I had to attempt to spend hours untangling so I could get a few stitches done before the next tangled mess.It was bad enough that I had to order a different yarn for my project which came out beautifully. Now this nice, soft baby velvet yarn ,which is gorgeous and would have made a lovely baby cocoon, is sitting in a tangled pile as I last left it and probably won't be used because even my ALMOST infinite knot and tangle patience has a limit.

So soft, my daughter loves the sweater I made her with it. All her friends asked for their own. I used two 300g balls for this size medium sweater. It is not as easy to work with as basic acrylic yarn, that being said it produces much more luxurious pieces, well worth the extra care to tention and precision crocheting.

Overall it is a nice product to crochet a cute doll, just need to remember, if you will use same yarn a few times ( like I did mistake in count and begun again) that Yarn will torn apart unfortunately.Edit: I bought it in two different colors and the ROSE one most likely old/ defective, because the MINT one just perfect and not following apartOrdering one more color and hope this one would be a good quality also.

This yarn is absolutely wonderful. It is so soft and has a great feel—is easy to work up and looks beautiful when done. I made a teapot cozy with it and will be making more!

DON’T. This yarn was a total a waste of time and money. The yarn is exceedingly soft and doesn’t grip onto the surrounding stitches. Thought I had worked through the problem. Washed it according to directions and it all started coming apart into large loops. Be forewarned. A quite expensive mistake

Very soft, but not very thick so it breaks easily. Trying to untangle some of it left a couple feet unusable.

Love this yarn ,the texture and easy to work with, have made 2 different amigurumi patterns with this yarn ,bunnies and love the end results!
