Great coverage for my hammock setup. I replaced the cordage immediately because it was heavy for backpacking otherwise it would have been fine. These are a bit heavier BUT as soon as you open the package you can feel the difference in quality. It has kept us dry and warmer in the 30 degree wet temps while backpacking in the SMNP. I ended up getting 2! It took me 1/2 the time to set up as my hiker companions. My 9yo son can set his up alone while I set mine up once I showed him how easy it was.

I bought one of these and used it for a couple nights of hammock camping recently and was impressed with the unit overall. Easy to set up with loops and grommets in the right places and best of all, aluminum stakes. No plastic garbage. They're light gauge and anodized red and then went in well, came out well, and cleaned off well. Time will tell how long they'll last I suppose.Another high point is the reflective material woven into the tie down lines. Hit that with a little light at night and you'll know where not to walk to avoid a trip hazard. The guys I went with were impressed by this as well so that's something.Anyway, there's not much to write about a rain fly to keep the water and dew off at night but this little guy has worked well for me.

Added protection from sun and rain. Also a great barrier when random critters fall out of the tree at night while hammock camping.

Just got back from a hammock camping adventure at Red River Gorge. I was surprised to see my sister had the same tarp. The tarps were a life saver during our rainy, windy trip. We were even surprised to wake up to snow one morning. Easy to hang, didn’t notice any leaks, and easy enough to stuff into the bag. My sister modified her bag into a black bishop bag and I will be doing the same thing. The stakes were great. It’s nice to have those versus the cheap silver metal hook style stakes. I am glad to have this in my hammock setup.

This pairs fantastically well with my Fox River double hammock. The inclusion of hooks on the outer face of the ridge line allow for you to suspend the cover from a line of Paracord or similar and ensure that you won't get any water dripping onto the hammock as you sometimes get with other tarps.The corner webbing sections have a loop at the end as well as a metal grommet. The loop works great for attaching guy lines, the grommet will fit most standard tent poles you can even use trekking poles to hold it up and open.Plenty of room underneath the canopy for the hammock as well as a small ground sheet underneath you for your pack, boots, etc.Highly recommended!!
