Wasn't sure it would fit.
Im only familiar with the use of a toilet and not maintenance of one so i had no idea what i was doing or looking for but GOOGLE did. Wish it would of came with the screw but does not and when i unscrewed the old one, the old screw broke apart so i had to go to Lowes and match up a screw ofcourse thats not a big deal. Super simple to put in and WOW its so easy to flush now only very light pressure is needed to flush unit after replacing this ball, which is great for the little ones. It was SO HARD to flush before replacing. I probably should have just bought the complete assembly as i will soon need to replace the rest of it but just needed the ball for now so i saved a few beans.

I have an old Eljer toilet tank. I have ...
I have an old Eljer toilet tank. I have tried a few different tank balls. Each still had very slow leaks which would cause ghost flushes. I was going toget some weights to put on the ball and weight it down to hopefully cause a tighter seal. Well I looked around and I read the reviews for this ball. One reviewer mentioned it had softer rubber on the bottom. It did and that created a tight seal and I have absolutely no leaks.Thank you my fellow reviewers. Now I am going to put some bricks in the tank so it won't need so much water to fill the tank up.Bob

Worked!
Worked well for my leaky toilet. I don't really have anything else to add because if it works, then it's not something I'm going to spend a lot of time thinking about.

A great product
Have used in the past...and as long as it works will buy as needed. Only thing I do in addition...my commode is over 100 years old so I make sure the drain is smooth...with steel wool and I add some Vaseline around it. Seals tight.

What a ball!!!
Love it! Much better than the crappy one that Home Depot sells. Only thing, as others have stated; it didn't come with the rod. And the one that came with the ball I purchased last year wasn't long enough. No problem if you have every type of welder known to man like I do. I just took some brazing rod, bent it up, threaded it and I was in business. Now my 1950's baby blue Eljer toilet will live forever! Yeah, baby blue. It's awesome!
