One day I felt overwhelmed by the number of UFOs in my quilt studio. I had a simple strawberry pincushion hanging around; and I thought: “self, here is a project you can finish today.” And so, my year of pincushions was born. To date, I’ve more than 100, and whenever I hit a rut, I dig out my supplies and make another.This book renewed my interest, and I’ve decided to make a few more pincushions!!!

I feel in love with the dressform pincushion on the cover. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. I am not sure how practical some of the pincushions are, but it is a great book for the creative mind. Altered art comes to mind. If you love sewing and scrap art, then get this book! There is also an eyeglass pincushion that is just so cute and reminds me of the winged glasses of the 60's. great book!

Hi, oh so cute, many designs, different, a small book with patterns, clear, I like it. I want to make a lot of Pincushions and the ones listed here were a bit different, this is an older book, like the old ones! Read all the reviews, form your own opinion, I did, I ordered it used, came like new and fast shipping. It is a nice addition to my craft room Library, who is the lucky girl! :) Have fun sewing!

The ideas for pincushions are greatly varied and different from what I have or Pinterest. I wonder where we get the colorful printed words on fabric pieces used on most projects? The charms I get but never seen these small , very unique pieces. See book's cover on dress form, "Sewing Guide" and envelope "Buttons". Directions show them being sewn with machine, buttonhole stitched around edges, and "add collage pieces as desired". Does anyone know where to purchase, as these printed fabric patches make the projects?

I love pincushions and I am really looking forward to making the travel kit suitcase. I will be making pincushions for gift this year.

I've run across much better books on pincushions. I'm probably donating this one someplace.

This is the best book on pincusions . A wide variety of different designs even a piano , and well finished ,with great patterns and easy to make !

Interesting but instructions not as clear as some craft books but will definitely be making a couple of the projects.

Nice pictures but in the end the projects are a little eclectic

Now I've got to decide which one to start with.
