Loved the simplicity of these recipes.

Dust Gatherer
Nothing special. Doomed to collect dust on the book shelf. Not exactly a dog eared Paul Prudhomme Louisiana Kitchen. More like a sticky, pretentious Martha Stewart volume.

A lot of great recipes, tips, ideas and pretty beach pictures.
A lot of great recipes, tips, ideas, and pretty beach pictures is what you will find when you read through Beach House Dinners: Simple, Summer-Inspired Meals for Entertaining Year Round by Lei Shishak.I loved the vibe to this cookbook. You could hear the ocean waves, smell the salt in the air, and feel your body relax and go with the groove. The book begins with a list of pantry staples, goes on to tools and gadgets, and then concludes with cooking and grilling tips as well as temperature information. The recipes sections are divided into Poultry, Seafood, Red Meat, Pork and Ground Meats, Vegetarian, Pasta, Soup & Sandwiches, and Salads. The author gives great details and step by step for creating each recipe. Some of the recipes include Whole Chicken with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Leeks, Baja-Esque Fish Tacos with Cilantro Lime Crema, Skillet Ribeye with Marsala Mushroom Cream Sauce and Sautéed Dandelion Greens, Double, Double Animal Style Burgers with Carmelized Onions and Sauce, White Pizza with Pecorino Romano, Basil, Garlic, and EVOO, Orecchiete with Sweet Italian Pork Sausage and Dandelion Greens and Maytag Blue Cheese, Sausage Peppers & Onions with Honey Mustard and Havarti, and chicken Salad with Major Grey’s Chutney, Cranberries, and Almonds.I am definitely checking out the authors other cookbooks based on this one.Thank you to Hidden Gems Books and Lei Shishak for the opportunity to review this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ cookbook.

Easy and delicious recipes in a beautiful setting
This is one of the prettiest cookbooks you will ever see! From the first page the book just exudes a feeling of relaxation and you can almost smell that salty beach air.The book is very helpful to the reader at the beginning as it lists ingredients you should have on hand in your pantry, like olive oil and sesame seeds, as well as beach house tools and gadgets you might need, such as a steamer basket and a panini press. The author also gives some very useful tips when grilling. The book is broken down into poultry, seafood (my favorite chapter), red meat, pork and other meat, vegetarian, pasta, soups and sandwiches, and salads. What I love about this cookbook is that Lei gives you the whole dinner in the recipe. You don't have to worry about what sides go with what meat. For example, the grilled halibut recipe. She includes instructions for making potato wedges and sauteed spinach to go along with it. So your whole meal is in one recipe. She also includes a picture (very important), and a little "notes" section at the end in case you decide you want to customize something to your liking. My personal favorite, since I'm on a low carb diet, is the summer cobb salad recipe with the mustard vinaigrette. So delicious and light!I highly recommend this book to get you in the beach mood, even if you aren't at the beach! I am excited to try her other books now! Thanks Lei!

Yummy
This is an honest review of an Advanced Reader Copy.First off, let me say the recipes in this book look delicious, and I enjoyed reading them all. There was a huge variety, and a few I’d like to try. Having said that, I found the book at bit overwhelming, starting with the large staples list at the beginning. I enjoy cooking, but most of these recipes are more than I would ever want to attempt as an at home cook. I wouldn’t say that’s necessarily a reflection on the recipes in this book. I just feel that some people are gifted in the kitchen, and then there’s the rest of us. Having a friend who is gifted in the kitchen, he would absolutely love a lot of these recipes. I will definitely share them with him!

Good sounding recipes, lovely book
Opening this book was a delight. The photographs of the finished dishes, as well as the beach scenes are lovely. The recipes themselves sound tasty and the directions are clear and concise. I’ve not yet cooked from this book but I have several recipes marked to try soon. On the whole, I did not find the recipes overly fussy but a few of them require a longer list of ingredients and some extra time. This is not to say those recipes wouldn’t be worth the extra ingredients or time - it’s just something to make note of. I received a copy of this book free. I am writing this review of my thoughts regarding this book voluntarily.

Great for a beachy adventure in cooking
Overall I thought the cookbook had a lovely collection of easy to follow recipes. However, they would not be beginner friendly or simple recipes by any means. A large portion of them have a multitude of ingredients. I personally don't find that terrible since I cook a ton, but for the average home cook, they won't have ready access to some of the required things. The overall book is informative and easy to follow. Don't hesitate to dive in, just be ready to take your time.I received this book for free in exchange for an honest opinion of which I have provided.
