Q: is battery included with purchase ?

The lantern came fully charged!! I have not seen any access to the inside of this unit. I believe the battery and bulb have a long life and does not require replacing battery or bulb. We used this unit four times so far and everyone was amazed by the brightness. Very pleased with the purchase. Good luck

Q: What is the longest amount of time anyone has used this lantern for consistently, just on the rechargeable battery alone?

A few 5 days of consistent use before I needed to charge it

Q: How do i know when this is fully charged?

When you plug in USB, the colour of the switch on/off button goes red. Once fully charged it goes blue or green but not red. 😊
