Outback Trading Company Men's Madison River Sun-Protective Waterproof Crushable Cotton Oilskin Hat

I'm getting another hat of the same style because I live in Arizona and the heat is brutal day time. this hat is perfect for the conditions here, love this hat, its stylish and can be cleaned with a light brush. Hat does not loose its shape once formed at all and dries quickly. I'm getting another hat for back up soon. Great hat!

I wanted a waterproof hat to hike in that could be stuffed in a pack when not needed. I looked at a bunch of them and decided to try this one and I'm very happy with it. The brim is not too big to fit under a jacket hood and doesn't have a bunch of excess straps and logos and stuff. Kinda wanted something not too dorky looking and this one actually looks pretty sharp. My girlfriend liked my green one so well, I got her the same hat in tan. The tan is a nice dark neutral color, not nearly as light as the color on the ad. I wear a 7-1/8 hat size and the medium Outback fits me well. Don't know about durability yet, but oilskin is pretty tough stuff.

Comfortable, durable, can take some hard use. Also seem to get positive comments from strangers about it.

The hat arrived about a week earlier than expected and I live in Tokyo! The first day I wore it, it rained and snowed. Perfect to test it. As advertised, it was waterproof and didn’t get out of shape. Very nice looking hat in any type of weather.

Quality is superb. Only possible complaint is the fit, but that's to be expected with S-M-L instead of numerical sizing. I'm between sizes, so needed to add a sizing band.That said, this company (Outback Trading) has the absolute best customer service I have EVER encountered. I purchased a duster from them 30 years ago, and somewhere along the way lost the patch and button kit. I couldn't find them for purchase, so contacted the company and they sent me several packs - on their dime!

The Madison is very comfortable, I have a large head and it fits perfectly. The brim and crown is just the right size for a fall, winter hat. In the spring or summer it will be a bit hot. Shipping form Amazon was a little lacking. The hat is described as crushable and they pushed it to the limits. After a few good steamings it looke pretty good. I ordered it on the 6th , it was shipped on the 9th, an I received it on the 11th. I ordered another outback hat from outback on a Monday and it was received on Thursday (in much better shipping shape). Same time in transit but but it did not take 3 days to fill shippment. Again, the Madison hat is nice go to hat, you will not be dissappionted. This may be my best purchase of the pandemic!! The only drawback, the brim could be a bit stiffer, this is MY personal preference though / yours may vary.

This hat arrived well packaged and on time. I was looking for a good weather resistant hat that fit well and this one does the job quite well. The size is just right for what I ordered and the hat does shed rain well and it's comfortable. Great hat for the cost.

I absolutely love this hat. The overall quality is even better than I expected. Looks great. I wear it quite often here working or doing whatever here deep in the foot hills of Appalachia.
