The Nutty Fruit House Dried Apple Rings (5 Pound (Pack of 1))

I have written many reviews on dehydrated apples for a good many sellers and for this company I believe as well, so as yet, I cannot find fault. These little gems sell themselves and the prices too. My only complaint is when I write a good review, either the price goes up from near every seller or they run out of inventory! "So don't buy these apples, leave them for me," OK!

There are different vendors for this product, so please list your vendor if you review it. I got mine from "We Got Nuts". It came in a generic large plastic bag tucked into a closely fitted cardboard box, which then went into an Amazon box. Note this is not the graphic currently posted. I'm almost done with the bag and came on to order another, but that vendor isn't hear, so I'll have to roll the dice on another.They're NOT chips. Mine were suitably dried - not "dry" - not mushy - but about what you'd see in the plastic clam shell packs at your larger grocers. An easy way to have a convenient snack without worrying about fruit going bad if you skip it for a few days. Consider using something like "Readytainer" tupperware ish stuff to split the 5# pack up, though that more for peace of mind than any actual need.

There should be a warning label on this website about these. It says right on the bag, they are treated with sulfur dioxide as a preservative. This is dangerous for people with sulfur allergies and can cause severe respiratory problems in these persons. Do some research on sulfur dioxide. Lastly, they are made in China!! I wish congress would pass laws that mandate that the country of origin be made known on website listings and any advertising as well as packaging. Had I known these were processed in China and treated with sulfur dioxide, I would not have purchased them.

This product meets our needs perfectly! We are in a location where obtaining dried apples are difficult to do in a timely manner. Fortunately, we have found this Sincerely Nuts Dried Apple Rings & have been using them since last summer!These Apple Rings always arrive well-packaged, and the product is fresh & ready for immediate use! The apples are not dried hard as a rock, but are rather a dehydrated, soft to the touch texture which is ideal for our usage!We would highly recommend these Dried Apple Rings to anyone looking for a similar product!!A+++ rating!

I was not terrible impressed with these dried apples. I did not like the level of dryness of these apples initially. They are a little on the moister, chewier, and stickier side than I would have preferred. I grew to like it more as I worked through the bag, but that is a texture thing that some might not like, either. Also, five pounds is a BIG bag. Like, bigger than you think. Unless you have several people eating these apples, it's going to take you some time to get through them. For one person, I would definitely go smaller bags for better freshness.

My wife and I have been buying this product repeatedly for a year and a half. I am just about to place another order. We like the taste and consistency of these apples better than more expensive ones we purchased at our local grocery store. We have had no trouble keeping them for as long as 4 months -- we buy 10 pounds at a time. I can also say that we have been pleased with the vendor's service. Occasionally, something has gone wrong with our order, but the vendor has corrected the error in a way that made us happy and loyal customers.

This is a great product at a great value. I promptly received my bag of dried apple rings and I enjoy them immensely. To give you some perspective, I tend to throw them in my morning oatmeal or just eat them right out of the bag.Some people have complained that their extremely wet and soggy, but I haven't experienced that issue. The apples aren't too dry, but aren't too moist.All in all, I recommend them and am buying another bag right after this review.

These were ok, as they tasted alright but they were very soft and not really dried down like I have had from other dried apple products. I have had to put these in the oven on low oven temp to get them dried to a point that they are a little crisp. The apples are really too thick for my taste. I wish I had ordered a smaller package to see if I would really like them. Because of the other high star reviews I took a chance on the economical 5LB bag. Not my best decision.
