Q: Will this remove the musty smell kof books that have been stored in a shed?

No, this is product is a very soft putty that acts like an eraser to remove dry dirt. Book collecting sites will have more detailed advice on how to stop and treat fungal growth; including products like baking soda that absorb the smell.

Q: I'm looking for something to clean antique books with, to bring the faded colour on moslty linen covers out more. Would this work?

I use it to remove surface dirt from stamps and covers. It improves appearance without compromising the item's integrity.

Q: How many books, on average, would you say this pot covers?

I would say it depends on how dirty the books are. I've used about 25% of the tub on around 40 standard size old books, some pretty dusty and with years of use, with a mixture of covers like cloth, paper, vinyl and leather. The trick is to keep even used lumps that are pretty dirty, in the tub and keep it pliable. As long as it is pliable it will pick up dirt. I could likely have cleaned more with even the lumps I already used. You never get dirt transferred TO a book.

Q: Will it work to get pencil off wallpaper?

I reckon it might be able to. Can’t say for sure though.
