Does NOT work with Bertini Pembroke as advertised! Beware!
This does NOT work with the Bertini Pembroke crib!!! Would give zero stars if I could! Notice that the description clearly says that it works with Pembroke, but the rails are too long and must be hacked to fit properly. If you have a Pembroke crib, DO NOT waste your money on this!

Works but significant modification required
Item arrived as described, DOES fit Bertini Pembrooke Crib. NOTE: You must attach (2) posts from the crib set-up to the foot board as the posts, not the foot board, are what have the notches for the bed rails. After previously ordering a universal steel hook-in bed frame, we found that this wooden conversion kit made the bed much sturdier than the steel frame.3 stars bc as other reviewers have mentioned, the (4) wooden bed slats included are too long for the bed frame. You must cut each wooden slat to size, then counter sink new screw holes in each slat bf assembly can be completed - requiring a circular saw & correct counter sink drill bit. You also have to remove the metal hooks that are already in the wooden rails and replace them with different hooks to fit the bed frame correctly. Thankfully, (3) different types of hooks are provided, as well as an Allen wrench and screws. After paying over $200 for this item, I found the amount of modification required to complete assembly far too in depth. The seller was quick to respond to questions, however, often did not fully read questions (or read too quickly) which led to additional back/forth.Overall, the bed rails look nice and are very sturdy. More importantly, we were able to successfully convert a rather expensive crib set to a full size bed. The cons are the price and significant modifications required.Color Note: While the natural rustic color is not an exact match, it’s as close as your going to get with wooden bed rails. The original conversion kit sold for the Bertini Pembrooke Crib was metal and received nothing but horrible reviews.

Works Fine for the Pembrooke Crib
I’m not sure why there are bad reviews for this being used on a Pembrooke. We had no trouble getting the rails to hook into the prefab slits on the crib. Yes, you have to attached the legs to the crib front, but that is completely obvious even for someone not very handy, as the legs have the slits for the rail hooks. The only issue we had was the wooden support slats were a little long but it took 5 whole minutes to cut them down.

Great!
Ok, so it took a bit to figure out how to put together. Pembrook bertini cribs here. We have twins so we had to do this twice. You have to use a piece from the sides to incorporate. Instructions were poor in stating that, but we figured it out on our own. The slats that come with and that u can additionally purchase have to be cut to fit. Otherwise these were great and easily converted once we knew how to do it.

Used for Bertini Pembrooke
I have the Bertini Pembrooke crib and purchased it from Babies R Us prior to them closing. I was unable to find a conversion kit anywhere but here on Amazon. I purchased the Natural Rustic and it is very close to the finish of the crib. After this was put together, you cannot tell that it was a crib or that the sides are of a different color. I am very pleased with this purchase and happy that it was put together easily and quickly.

Slats are too long everything else is great!
This fit wonderfully and matched the color on the pembrooke crib from babies r us, it came with two sets of hooks but I got lucky and the pre installed ones were the right ones. They are easy to change out if necessary. As stated in the instructions and many reviews you do have to remove the rails with the footboard but that’s just three screws on each rail. Only complaint and it appears it’s a common one was the slats were too long and I had to cut them down, not a big deal but something for people to prepare for. The slats sent were 54” the gap is 53” and you will lose at least one pre drilled hole. I recommend drilling another pilot hole (I used 11/64th bit) so you don’t split your rail. Otherwise it’s very solid and appears to be good quality.

This does fit the bertini pembroke
Ok so if I can convert this then ANYONE can. This does fit the bertini pembrooke but u must switch out the hooks. The seller providered two sets of hooks and the ones originally installed didn’t work, but it’s a quick and simply switch. The slats that come with the kit were too long( an inch off) but I just took themTo Home Depot and they cut off the extra material for free...also the seller was responsive and even offered to send out new slats but going to Home Depot was just quicker. You have to connect the posts from the side of the crib to the footboard.

Does not fit
This product does not work for the conversion of the Bertini pembrooke five and one convertible crib as advertised. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. This was very expensive to not fit. The rails do not fit in to the headboard and footboard slots and just pull right out. Not safe for my toddler. Luckily my husband is a carpenter and is modifying it to work.
