MotoAllianceVIPER ATV/UTV Replacement Contactor/Solenoid 1500lb-5000lb Winches

I used this to power a Lincoln Mark IV radiator fan on my 2003 Land Rover Discovery 2. The fan is notorious for a high amperage draw and I was having issues with the controller supplying power to the fan. The controller now controls the solenoid, and the fan now has full power and I don't need to worry about losing the fan. The Solenoid is well built and the instructions are good, I did have to determine how to properly wire the on/off control to the solenoid since the application is a little bit different; I had to remove the BLUE wire and run the negative lead from the controller to spade for the blue wire, and the positive lead from the controller to the spade where the green wire is. The fan initially pulls about 50 amps on startup, this solenoid has more than enough capacity, and I've had no issues with it running continually in 106 degree (f) weather while mounted in the engine bay. Very solid construction.

Unit appears well made.Longevity as yet unknown, hence 4 stars at this point.The vast majority of all winch solenoids are manufactured in China, and their Q/C is spotty at best. That said,I have several(different brands) in operation with no failures ....yet.

It works great on my badlands winch installed on my boat lift. Installation was super easy, just read the directions. It was about twice the price of the cheaper solenoids so we'll have to see how it holds up over time. So I left off one star. I'll update in a year or so.

Used this product to replace a malfunctioning unit on a 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570. Installation was as expected, the units hardware tightens nicely and it feels solid. Holding off on 5th star until after a few uses with it.

Installed quick and easy. Good bargain for the money. Winch works like a charm now.

Product worked for a few weeks now you can hear the contacts chatter and sometimes you have to bang on it for the thing to make connection

I had blown relays and my contactor was also fried when someone tried to lift far more than the winch was designed to do. I replaced the cheap one on my 4000lb superwinch and this thing seems to put more voltage through.
